It is a damn shame that the fight happened 4-5 years too late. Both fighters were well past prime. I had no doubt Floyd would win, but I would have given Pac a better chance if the fight happened earlier.

Oscar should have retired when he lost to Hopkins. After that he didn't do much. He was basically retired and only fighting barely not even once a year. I just cant see what the May 2007 Oscar would have done differently to win in December 2008. Yeah he was 6 pounds heavier but he was still slow. Which was what both Floyd and Manny took advantage of.

Floyd learned how to clinch better. Back in 2010 Floyd wasn't the clincher he became in 2013-now.

Five years too late and a let down of a fight because of it. Still, Pac and Floyd were still two of the best fighters in the world and Floyd made it look easy.

The price of tickets and the PPV price in America was a joke for a predominantly working class sport.

You want to commemorate something that way one of the blackest days ever in boxing ?? The day a juiced to the gills CHEAT!! aided & abetted by a State Commission & a Drug testing agency ran & held his injured & sabotaged opponent for 12 rounds barely beating him. Then have the ludicrously biased 118-110 117-111 scorecards presented ?? This blatant
CORRUPTION ruined what little credibility the sport had left
BOXING = WWE in most peoples minds

It's not "let's discuss it" it's let's continue discussing it because this forum hasn't stopped talking about it since.

    ZZzzzzzzz

Pac lost 9 rounds to 3 and used an excuse as a cop out, get over it.

It was an extremely disappointing fight, a fight that was 6 years in the making which DID NOT live up to the hype. The BIGGEST grossing fight of all time, and we got that performance, millions of people wasted their money, not to mention Pacquaio's hilarious excuse of messing up his shoulder(what a sore loser)

The only winners of that fight were Floyd(won millions of dollars) Pac(same, won millions and has a phony excuse that his fangirls can ride on) and Floyd fans.

Everyone else was a loser, especially the fans. I can't complain though, I didn't pay for the PPV. I learned my lesson during the DLH-Mayweather fight, already fooled me once.
