so much talk of stevenson ducking but it was going to purse bid and duva pulled Kovalev out. I never heard why.

Kovalev def wants to fight stevenson and would be an obvious favourite. but duvas pulls out of a bidding war and nobody cares. if stevenson did the same it would be all over the place.

If she entered the purse bid and were to lose it that means Kovalev would have to fight on SHowtime which is a breach of his HBO contract? Not sure if it works like this.

I guess that would make some sense then. wouldn't it be a breach of either person contract?

the longer they wait the more I favour kovalev anyway. stevenson pulled off the 8-1 upset over dawson. and the close betting odds of the cloud fight.

hasn't done much anymore. for canadians outside of quebec like myself the interest has died of him. The feel is he'll fight beterbiev when they think he's about to pack it in.

aren't all al haymon fighters for the most part exclusive to shotime?
I know stevenson doesnt want to fight stevenson and especially his team doesn't. they have a goose that lays golden eggs. stevenson fights in canada are on canadian ppv and he makes people a lot of money. if he lost to kovalev he'd retire on spot likely.

I'm pretty sure he has to stay true to shotime. if kovalev was able to fight on either show and it goes to purse bid again. Stevenson's team would be forced to take the fight or drop the belt.

knowing them they'd try hard to get a fight with another champ inked before hand though.

Don't think so, HBO refused to work with Haymon, don't think Haymon's fighters are exclusive to Showtime...or how else would PBC have run so far?

Adonis has no contract with network. But he wants the fight on Showtime or a dual network thing. Problem is there isn't enough money in this fight to do a cross network promotion.
