Is this fight happening, the internet seems to be full of rumours that it is. How do you see it going, I see a quick blow out for Briggs, light work.
Good fight this if it happens- would allow Briggs to face a UK "name" before the Haye fight. Better than just getting a Eastern European in or similar.
I am suprised Allen is up for a fight like this so early in his career if i am honest, but fair play to him.
Really 2 reasons I cant see it happening 1 wont be on a Matchroom show 2 Eddie wants Allen to be paired up with Pricey But if Briggs vs Allen is a cert fair play to Allen and if he can get a win he would be right up there to fight Chisora
Is he a matchroom signed fighter mate? I don't know much about him to be honest, all I know is he hasn't had many fights. If Eddie is looking after him and he is willing to stick him in with Price now, then he must really rate this guy or think Price is a bum now.
I would be happy if this is true, somehow I get the feeling Briggs will fight someone who is proven to have a suspect chin. Briggs won't want a fight that could last more than 4 rounds because he gasses out.
I thought he was Pal 100% reason being bringing Jason gavern over for him and trying to line up a fight with Price post Gavern fight. But had a look at http://www.matchroomboxing.com/boxers/ and he is not on the list I know Crolla had to fight on a few Matchroom shows before being signed up so may be the same with Dave. If Allen is not a Matchroom fighter forget my post
Allen is signed to dave coldwell not matchroom. He was used on a undercard as matchroom often use dc fighters to fill an undercard. The talk of price only happened because of his post fight interview.
I really don't see the fuss with Allen. Can only assume those who rate him know him personally. That said who knows how a fight with Briggs would go at this stage? When was the last time Briggs fought anybody even semi-decent?
