I'm completely and totally confused and frustrated with boxing media and fans at the moment when it comes to floyd mayweather and we need to sort this out.

For the past 8 years mayweather has been public enemy #1, the cure for insomnia, a bad example to the sport of boxing, a cherry picker, and many other things I cant even think about. Yet there are still threads every day with his name (yes I realize i'm not helping), boxing writers continually try to lure him out of retirement, Skip Bayless talks about him more than he talks about paquiao. AND I DO NOT UNDERSTAND!!!!

Why does anynoe want to see this guy come back ? For 1 there's nobody left for him to beat, he went through everyone relevant with the exception of GGG. I don't want to see him fighting the likes of danny garcia, adrian broner, keith thurman, etc. I definitely don't want to see a pacquiao match up.

Please help me understand and be as honest as possible. If you hate mayweather go head and say that even. That's 100% ok. I'm going to set up a vote to try to help understand why he's still a topic....

I think most people don't want him to come back (besides a couple of Floydettes), but expect him to.

I really like to see him stay retired, but I fully expect either Floyd vs Pac II or vs Gift Garcia.
I don't think he's a scumbag (like the poll) but I do know for sure boxing is better off without him.

People are obsessed with fmj like I've never seen before. Look, you even, a hater clearly admits fmj beat everyone relevant throughout his career. Now that's a fact, that he beat everyone relevant. So that has to mean he "cherry picked" all the relevant fighters.

How in the **** van the above fact male fmj a bad example to other fighters, and how is it exactly "cherry picking" when he's fighting everyone that made a name for themselves. Is it fmj truly too great for his own good that fighting all the best fighters in the game cherry picks ?

If that's the case, and you guys strengthen this case daily, we have some others that are going to end up being too great for their and the fans own goods

How exact is boxing better off without him, when he's the main topic of conversation since 2009 to this day ? I'd rather see him stay retired because he would lose if he came back and ended up facing spence, ggg, canelo or maybe even khan..

2 of them (ggg/spence) are just too big and talented for any 40 year old to hang with. And if family came back it would end up being more than 1 fight and his ego would tell him he would beat everyone, everyone except those 2 would be true

Nobody should have all kinds of "exceptions" in boxing.
Being able to hold belts and lineals hostage, by deciding who he wants to fight, where, when, under which circumstances, which officials and at what weight, is kinda insane.
Not having to fight mandatories, never having to do pursebids, never having to fight abroad or even in another state. Never being tested by other agencies... do I have to go on?

Haters are his biggest supporters, all they do is mention his name and they will be the ones to bring him back.

Mayweather styles ages at a slower rate than pacs this is a fact

Floyd can't resist he will be back he trying to hold it of but he will be back too much money involved

If his style ages at a slower rate than that just means he's better, you guys need to stop using that as an excuse.. You can't discount that the man is almost 40 his reflexes are shot to s***.

He seems to have zero intetest in returning, and hes pushing 40.

He has a relatively successful promotional company.

I think hes done for good
