The only time I've ever seen on any forum Pac in a close battle in a poll was when the question was "Who wins H2H, Pacquaio vs GGG?" Pacquaio was actually winning by a few votes with over 100 voters last time I check it....atsch.... While Floyd loses every poll ever involved in.. Further proof, the boxing public DKSAB!:deal

 

Despite what any fan here will vote, by all objective measure Floyd Mayweather Jr will be the higher of the two when it comes to the "historical rankings."

Fans of Pacquiao will complain. They will tout Fighter of the Decade and all this stuff. (Even though the only reason he won it was because Floyd took time off, and everybody knows it) However, Mayweather will be ranked higher by the boxing historians. There is just no question.

At the age of 38, Mayweather retired with 5, count it, 5 of the major 8 championship belts in 147 and 154 pounds. Greatness folks.

ESPN just called Floyd the top p4p boxer in the last 25 years as an example. Pretty sure that covers Pacquiao. Fans are going to be fans, but their opinions aren't worth spit. "Fighter of the Quarter Century" > "Fighter of the Decade" Pac fans will have to be content with Pacquiao being 2nd best.

 

Floyd has a better resume. Why is this even a topic? The **** is wrong with you people?

 

8 division champ. Only 1 of those in entire boxing. Good to his people, not an ass hat. Pac has the better record, Floyd has better skills. If floyd fought better fighters i have no doubt he'd win, but he has his own doubts. So Pac

 

What's funny is people think their opinion matters. Floyd is the higher ranked boxer, and you can put up 1,000 polls with 1,000 accounts to say otherwise, and it won't matter.

Pac has clearly the better resume of the two. Flyweight to junior middleweight.

And of common opponents, in most cases, beat them more decisively than did Floyd.

However, Floyd beat ALL of his opponents (with possible exception of Castillo 1, which was controversial, but avenged) whereas Pac has losses to Morales, JMM and Floyd himself).

So, overall, despite their resumes, as of right now, if they both stay retired, I think Floyd has to rank higher on an all-time basis.
