I didn't really like him before the Mayweather fight. Why? I just didn't see anything special in him as a fighter. After the Mayweather fight, I was thoroughly disappointed in his performance. He definitely didn't represent a true warrior's mentality. He didn't fight with any passion or guts. Don't get me wrong, Canelo vs PBF was a boring fight, but IMO, he could have definitely pressed more. Seriously lacking in the usual Mexican fighter's display of fire and gameness.
Didn't think much of Canelo at first but I became a fan based on his willingness to take fights most of us didn't think he would(the GGG mess will be cleared up soon). He already accomplished more than I originally thought he would.
Great guy. Honors all the boxing rules and regulations. No games with Canelo. He's a straight shooter!
Catchweights are ****ty but nothing new, he's just doing what other fighters before him did(Pac, Cotto, FLoyd, etc). If you have an issue with the rules and regulations blame the ****ty alphabet soup organizations for not enforcing them.
I got a ban a while back for using a few * to censor a curse. Many do it all the time but the few * I used must have been really offensive. So I can't say my thoughts on Alvarez even censoring myself without getting banned again. Reason for the ban was bypassing the filters, so be warned.
I just came back from a ban for the very same reason but this time I'm not attempting to bypass any filters.
I used to have respect for him but that has changed after all this 155, I'm not a true middleweight bs. Holding the lineal title hostage while refusing to defend it against a top 10 MW will **** off diehards like me. I'm still mad at cotto for doing the same.
El Pollo caught the dreaded yellowstreakitis disease from Mayweather that night never been same since:nut
"holding the title hostage", all you drama queens use the same line He just barely won the title and is making his first defense, mind you, an optional.
