Since when have we expected or wanted heavyweight champions like that ??
Muhammad Ali was those things ... but also extremely controversial, politically incorrect, antagonistic, and "a clown".

The IBF title is the circus sideshow.
Fury is the top fighter in boxing.

Yeah, perhaps he can, and for years people were wishing someone would end Wlad's dominance.

if Fury kept his beliefs to himself he would be a massive sports figure in Britain right now. He only himself to blame really, the stuff he said was offensive to a large group of the public, to be a media darling he had to appeal to everyone. Which is fine, why his dad going on about game shows, does he really need to do that b-a-n-a-l (I cant believe this censoring!) rubbish? Joshua hasn't put his foot in it. like early Tyson he had a bad background and is now the good guy, its a story. Fury is still a bad guy in most peoples eyes, which personally I think is an interesting story, he has respect though, if he beats Wald again he gets even more respect that the public cant deny. Then he would probably beat AJ on points. His dad spouts a load of rubbish imo, I can guess what being real is to that guy, he is worse than the people he berates.

True. The father's a loose cannon and could well end up bringing down the whole house of cards...

His dad's an idiot, I don't think anyone can deny that. It's clearly Tyson's uncle who holds everything together and that's a job on which he should be commended. I can't imagine it's easy...

    Yeah, I agree with that.

Tyson Fury seems to be having a laugh most of the time, and other times he's even being quite thoughtful, perhaps 100% wrong, perhaps misunderstood - and even the controversial religious stuff he spouted was, in its context, not complete idiocy, imo. (I mean, his mistake was sharing his views, and expecting the tabloid media to try to understand them on their own terms.)

What I'm saying is that there's still some element of awareness with Tyson.
Love him or loathe him, he's not the idiot people make him out to be.

His father, on the other hand, is a serious incident waiting to happen.
And since the media have already labelled Tyson a "thug" and a "bigot", it's going to be easy for them to conflate the deeds of the father with those of the son.

How can you not be impressed?
Go watch Pulev vs Wlad. I thought Pulev would give Wlad hell
Wlad destroyed him and made him look like a novice
Joshua is still the same drug dealer guy hes just been media trained and you all for it

  8. And who made it that way for it to be a ''price to be paid'' for speaking your mind and being yourself?

Society did because it doesn't want to self reflect, or look at the reality of the situation and be candid about life. There is a resistence to non pc individuals because they are not willing to toe the lines to the brainwashed standards of society

In a way these two kind of characters symbolise and reflect back what society wants and caters to. One is a order follower symbolic of the machanical society which we live and the other is his own man who represents the individual

Today's people prefer sound bits, cliches, the artificial over substance, truth and honesty meanwhile fearing the unpredicatble because it stems from choas.

Society wants to be spoon fed everything and made to feel everything is in order because they do not want to have to think or use any faculty of introspection.

Got nothing against any of the fighters, But Eddie is a chessey SOAB they way he hypes his fighters like they have beaten everyone in their division, both Brook and now AJ..

Martin was a Class A bum fighter who had a paper title, Brook still to this date has ONLY beaten 1 decent fighter.. Eddie is a pure business man trying to con the public.

I agree. And like I said, I admire Furys stance of not giving a **** and being himself and not pandering to the moronic mainstream. but my point is Tyson knows we live in this society. He knows he'll get slammed for it. So why expect any different? Expect to not be as marketable and as respected.

  11. I'm sure he does expect it, but it doesn't mean he should be happy about it. Doesn't mean he should not feel indignation and not highlight the hypocrisy of it all.

Funny thing is the majority of people who hate fury for his views, would happily declare themselves 'Christians' to their peers, while they live in a conservative society.

Yet when someone actually lives by their book that denounces *******uals , they get upset and act offended.

tyson fury slags of gays, slags of the media and wonders why he doesnt get all the media attention, the sponsorship deals etc etc.

what he needs to do is hire a PR agency to fix his image. has no idea how to promote himself in a good way.

yea you have a point there. but its more when Tyson seemingly goes out of his way to act like a complete ****. then he's surprised when it rubs people up the wrong way?

  15. Why does he need pr? Why does anyone need PR? So he can hide his views? Ask yourself why does a person need to hide their views or present them in a different way?
