you are getting destroyed on several fronts, mate, keep up.

I suspect u do enjoy getting kicked in.

So what Laws of physics does ali "transcend"? We aren't talking about his attempt to get into the Magicans Circle are we?

Nope. Not overrated at all based on h2h.

He has one of the best heavyweight resumes of all time - beating foreman Frazier liston patterson lyle norton - all great fighters who would do well in any era.

If ali is so overrated h2h lets see some heavyweights that have his long list of intangibles and attributes? Which heavyweight moves like Ali, throws combos like Ali, had an iron chin like aliƱ had a jab like ali or had the ring iq or talent of ali?? Nobody does. Nobody has Ali resume or his skills.

So, do you think its coincidence that the average height of a hw top 10 contender has gone up much MORE than 3 inches since Ali first debuted? It clearly has some meaning or else it wouldn't have changed, would it. Moron.

Yes, I know Ali is your special flower hero. But height and weight do confer big advantages when all else is equal. Why has the sport seen the average height of a hw contender raise over 3 inches since Ali was first champ? Just raw coincidence?

And how do you explain fat, 5'9'' career middleweight Toney being rated in the top 5 for 4 straight years during this incredible era of super big, superior heavyweights?

No, the onus is on the person saying that while all other sports see tremendous progress, boxing doesn't. Or the person saying that while modern dominant SHW's only lose to a smaller fighter who has the power to stop them, that a fighter from a much earlier era who does not have that power could beat them.

I never said they couldn't be contenders. Toney was great. Jennings and many other nowadays are or could be contenders. But he wasn't beating a Wlad etc.

I would barely call myself a fan of Ali. I'm just trying to be objective here. Movement+handspeed is HELL for a bigger guy to beat. There are millions of examples of this throughout the boxing world.

Better ask yourself why big men haven't profilerated earlier than they did. Was there some shortage of taller men before the 1990s? Or is there a different reason?

This quote on its own proves you know litle about boxing. Tyson, for example, was a great heavyweight at his peak because he had outstanding footwork and head movement which enabled him to evade the jabs of taller men land his power shots, which were also timed beautifully and very accurate. Yes, he carried awesome power, but that's not even half the story. Not even close. And don't even think about mentioning Buster Douglas. Mike was a shot fighter already at the point that fight was made. Please go away and learn about this sport before you come back again. Thank you.
