They're legitimate points but not particularly illuminating.

While comparing their height, weight, and reach is illuminating?

Ezzard Charles was faster sharper better in 1948 than 1954 but he was still plenty fast sharp enough in 1954 to be considered a very good opponent for any heavyweight champion in history

Not in a vacuum but ignoring them is foolish. Comparing style, skills, abilities, and physical attributes all together is illuminating though. Certain people here don't seem capable of doing that kind of ****ysis though.

What was Marciano doing at the age of 37?

What I wish a lot more of the great champions had been doing.

In a taped interview Moore said his legs were gone when he faced Marciano. He also said Marciano got to him by sheer rugged bull-doggishness,that he wore him down.

Is it true that we did see Marciano fight in the 1990's and his name was Kenny Keene?

He faced some adversity in the fight. He tasted the canvis took some big punches and all the while he had some foreing substance obstructing his vison and burning his eyes but he came back to score one of the most epic one punch knockouts of all time.

    I absolutely agree Janitor.

A number of mrkoolkevin's post come across as disingenuous or if not, unintelligent. For example, the starting post of the thread. He is purporting to show respect for Marciano when IN MY OPINION the post is actually a thinly veiled swipe at Marciano in the form of the caveat at the end of the post about Tua and Tyson.

The OP appears to have clear agendas against certain fighters.

Stylistic considerations are important, but there comes a point where you have to pick against the person with the stylistic advantage.

That point likely comes when they can’t beat people ranked in the top ten, or only just dipped into the top ten.

    He's 32 here I believe https://streamable.com/4kuv

He took a lot of punishment, and showed great heart by continuing to fight. By you never seen Rocky in that condition, especially in round 11.

If that is what would bring them happiness, then yes!

Every time a fighter gets out of the sport, with their money and brains intact, we should be happy!
