His legs looked pretty great in the year 1955 when he outhustled a bigger stronger higher rated opponent in May of 55 to earn a right to face Marciano.

Moore was 45-1 in his previous 46 fights prior to facing Marciano

Spot on. I have argued this for ages to no avail.

Rocky just did that to avoid extensive luggage searches. After the 5th rubber done airport security would just sheepishly let him board.

First you start a thread saying Marciano deserves respect which he certainly does and then immediately you sort of disrespect him by mentioning Tua a guy who will be forgotten about by those who never saw him very quickly. Tua was a hard hitter sure but he was no champion like Rocky. Either Rocky deserves respect or he doesn't..... no conditions.

I'm referring to what Moore said not me.I'm not implying he did not deserve his shot, but I am saying he was not a prime Moore the fact that he had such success at near 40 time just illustrates how good he had been when in his prime.
Valdes was never a quick fighter.

You've seen Archie's earlier fights Suze, can you honestly say he looks the same fighter, with the same speed and footwork?
Do you see the cross-armed defence against Richards etc?
It's to compensate for his increasing lack of mobility.

Shock horror, a fighter gives an excuse to explain his beating....

I've no interest in Rocky's *** life ,he was a hell of a fighter and a hell of a guy, isn't that enough?

Do you think a fighter is in his prime at 39? His mother said he was 2 years older btw. :think

Being top 30 does not make you an ATG.
That's twice you've said Terrell was lighter despite my correcting you. You can't help me because you don't know anything, that is blatantly obvious.

I'm confused by this comment. I gave Rocky respect. But champion or no champion, there probably isn't a fighter in the world who would rather take multiple flush punches to the face from Tua than the punches Rocky ate from Walcott...
