So GGG can duck DeGale at 168 but open to fight Ramirez for his title?

Did you just appear in public looking to be in immaculate condition with a huge smile on your face?? If that's the case, call a doctor to your home IMMEDIATELY!! That's one of the main signs of needing a life saving fluid infusion.

Ward's a straight up guy but who knows how much he meant what he was saying, all I know is that in those circumstances, a fight of that magnitude, the likelihood of it happening is very low even just beyond any kind of "duck".

I noticed Golovkin gets a lot of flak for not fighting Ward as his first fight at 168. I wasn't paying attention to every detail when all this drama took place. But if Golovkin wanted to duck Ward then why offer him a fight? Just ignore him if your scared of the guy. I don't know really.:huh

If ur wanting to not fight him.....just say "we're not Interested" and move on like u said

To touch on what dan said...

Ya I agree jumping right up to take ward in would be huge and I'm not fully condemning him just for that....but don't say "164....Maybe in 2017"...knowing full well ward is moving up by then

And at the time ward had fought 98 percent of his fights at 168....

As ive mentioned ....ggg was ready to jump at several other guys....I don't like guys willing to jump divisions for a cherry pick but not fight the top guy there ....maybe cherry pick is strong word....but ggg was willing for certain guys he felt he could best but didn't feel strong about besting ward

I realize on the surface it looks like a double standard ...but I think there are some subtle differences

Ward is coming up and taking adjustment fights at lhw before taking on the man there.....ggg was looking for big name cash grabs

Ward wanted to move up quick as well so it kinda became fight me RIGHT NOW or I'm moving up, obviously that makes it more difficult for the fight to happen, I mean guys in the same divisions, how long does it take to make those fights? Ward's just expecting GGG to abandon everything and come up to fight him in that instance with no preparation or getting used to the weight against perhaps lesser opponents.

And it's not like Ward is some mega cash cow, GGG's had better options anyway even in Ward's own weight (like Froch and Chavez) at the time.

For me Ward-GGG was more of a case of, wrong timing basically.

I can agree with most of what u said to a certain degree

But ggg didn't have better options at the time...the chavez fight was dead for some time plus he'd lost to Fonfara at that point....and Froch was still being floated but froch wasn't committing .....

I just don't like looking for big name cash grabs in a division(going right there without testing he waters first....Cuz u know ggg would have done that for froch or chavez) but then dismissing the top guy

I can agree that the timing wasn't the best and it's not easy to make fights where someone is moving up or down

Ward isn't a cash cow but he would a been ggg's best payday for sure.....and biggest fight to date without question .....getting in the he ring with another top level guy for once ....would a shown some real sack and I would have been a believer win or lose....look at kova? That guy is pumped to get ward in there because he knows what it means as far as respect and legacy

Kovalev's bigger than Ward and has no options basically, I'd actually say he's lucky that he has a guy moving up ready to face him like Ward, not him performing some great act of bravery.

Golovkin was in a far more difficult situation there.

Kova part was the tail end of what I said....u choose to only acknowledge that part?

I didn't say it was bravery ....but he's looking forward to taking on a prime top level guy ......kova isn't that much bigger than Ward ...he's a little thicker.....but he's not that much bigger

Kova options at 175 without ward aren't really any worse than gggs current options sans canelo....I'd say Stevenson offers more to kova than any mw does to ggg sans canelo

Kovalev had to milk 2 fights against Pascal because in Montreal Pascal fills the house. Kovalev doesn't have a lot of fans.

I just wanted to change the topic, because the little details are not that important here and I don't really care to dispel or argue against them or it will end up going into another two pages, the big picture is that in those circumstances the likelihood of the fight happening is basically zero and that's just the way boxing works in general.

Stevenson fight is impossible, I've been waiting it for four years now and already given up, then Beterbiev, another Haymon fighter, very difficult to make, I mean really the best Kovalev has other than Ward is what, Fonfara? I actually expect Kovalev to fight another weak opponent because there's simply nothing out there for him at the moment other than Ward.

It would be nice going to the Kovalev vs Ward fight when it happens. The tickets prices wont be that high even in Las Vegas. They shouldn't be expensive. Lets be honest I mean its not Floyd and Manny.:deal

    Fonfara is with al too

Nothing is impossible to make .....als hw is going to russia....he put Danny in with what everyone thought was a killer .....wade is fighting ggg,..

    Nothing is impossible

For some reason I like a Ward vs Stevenson matchup more than Ward vs Kovalev. See both Ward and Kovalev have sound boxing skills. They use jabs. Adonis is a Bazooka left hand happy wild man!:nut It would make a great clash of styles! I wanna see it! :yep
