For a former world champ his power is just sad. You almost have to wonder how somebody could manage to hit that soft. It's especially odd because of how big he is for the division. Especially when he was at 140 pounds. He's 5'10.5" and he still hits like a bantamweight. He hit Khan with some relatively clean shots and he couldn't even make a dent in that jaw. When he made those comments about how he knows Spence felt some of his punches I just shook my head. I don't think Roman Gonzalez feels those punches. He just flat out punches like a sissy.
When he fought Pac you didn't complain about his lack of anything. Log off. Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
You know Pacquiao is a small welterweight, and he fought Algieri at catchweight. Spence walked right through Algieri. Man, Algieri has less power than Bradley.
Algieri lost to Ruslan and got an NY gift. Then he got wrecked by Pacquiao, lost clearly to Khan but we're supposed to believe he's the mark of greatness for Spence.
Everyone is built differently. Foreman was a natural powerhouse and even now probably hits wicked hard. Algieri is built like a dainty soccer player
http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=557960 That's me starting this thread months ago. I've been on the Spence train for a while now. He's legit. Listen Algieri got a gift decision against Ruslan one of the most crude fighters in the world. Couldn't even back up Khan FFS. Got thrown around the ring like a child against a 35 year old Featherweight. What did you think was going to happen to Algieri when he fought an actual legit natural Welterweight? His best convincing win is Emmanuel Taylor. You kidding me?
My bad I can admit when I'm wrong. With that said I thought Chris would present spence with a style that he hasn't dealt with before because he uses a lot of movement and I wanted to see if he could cut the ring off on a guy like that. He passed the test with flying colors. Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
In the lighter divisions it's usually those tall skinny guys who hit mac trucks because they can generate so much more leverage than the shorter guys.
Boxing alt, after and prior to pac fighting Christine, you were building him up to a top fighter, stop your nonsense. Pac beats hum, he's legit Spence signs and he's a bump, gotchya.
I was very impressed with Spence. I think very highly of him so I wasn't surprised at all by this performance.
He's always been featherfisted. He was featherfisted when he beat Provo, when he pushed Khan all the way. People focus on power too much
1- Because he's even too big for his own good- meaning he has too low bmi and it hurts his strenght 2- Because unlike Spence, he doesn't inject horse-sized doses of steroids
