Lo, hark at the vaulting ambition of the little man.

"I would love to compete for 2 and a half, 3 years tops. God willing everything work out as planned, maybe 5 more fights I'm done."

Now I have no issue with wanting to get out faculties intact, but if you're planning on retiring at 30, maybe don't spend your precious time beating up regional level fighters.

He won´t. Can he really live out the rest of his life on those last 5 fights?

Great idea. Retire just when you are becoming commercially viable and starting to earn real paychecks.

Eh, he can't beat Lomachenko anyways. He's just mad about that.

He knows he can't compete with Loma, I understand if one knows his limitations just get out 5/10 million secure

Remember when Khan said he'd be retired by 28...or Hopkins by 40?

What a poor attitude, wouldn't expect anything less from GRJ. The guy is a mental weakling. When he called out Lomachenko after his fight he was scared just saying it. I hope Lomachenko grants him his wish. After the fight I expect GRJ to say he would beat Lomachenko 98 times out of 100, and to fire his dad blaming him for not feeding him enough or something else equally as stupid.

I'm sure that after boxing he'll settle into something equally as lucrative that he's just as good at like curing cancer or acting in major motion pictures.

He thinks he'll just get 5, big fights with no problems and he will not lose or something along the way. Total delusion.

I remember Roy Jones saying the same thing before the Harmon fight in an HBO interview with Larry Merchant. Roy is still fighting.

Not everyone is in this sport for legacy, this is a job for some guys. Make as much money as you can without getting too punchy and get out.
