You said Ali was not down in his prime. BUNK.

Walcott had a better-timed hook / counter punching, and Moore a much better right hand in comparison to Frazier.

Fraizer likely a little harder than either Walcott or Moore.

I'd say Moore and Walcott hit harder than Henry Cooper, who had Ali down and dazed.

I know you have reading comprehension problems so I'll explain ,I was referring to the Banks fight which another poster mentioned.
Anyone with half a brain-cell would have realized that.

    Reznik . I agree.

And Walcott and Moore were seasoned ATG counter punchers.

We shouldn't hold Ali's knockdowns against him. And we shouldn't hold Rockys knockdowns against him.

    Reznik again.
    Better than Banks

    Get it now?:-(

Just damage control as usual. Banks was only 21 for the fight too. And his AM experience was far less than Ali's.

Bottom line: Ali was hurt or floored by left hooks at various stages of his career, and he also had trouble with good jabbers at various stages of his career despite being the bigger man in all cases.

You like to point out how small Rocky's title opponents were when in fact Cooper and Banks who floored Ali were about the same size as Walcott and Charles.

I completely disagree with you here. I guess we are watching two different fighters because when I look at Kovalev I see all kinds of weird unorthodox moves. His awkwardness reminds me of Michael Spinks the way he strings combinations together. Kovalev does not always lead with his jab, but when he does he can double or triple it, he can stab it to the body and knock people out with jabs to the body, or he can lead with right crosses and f*ck people up that way. He can counter people's jabs with counter right hands, he can throw check left hooks, he can do it all really.

Disagree. Rocky would have to dig deep IMO to beat Kovalev and I definitely think Kovalev would be a live dog.

Stevenson clearly doesn't believe that he would be an issue for Kovalev otherwise he would have stuck with HBO and that fight would've happened already.

You just have trouble with both the spoken and written English language.
Ever thought of night time tutoring?
Banks had 12 fights when he fought Ali ,Ali 10.

Banks was 21 & and Ali was 20!
    Since you brought it up------
NB Ali's title challengers were considerably bigger than most of Marciano's .The only challenger Marciano defended against who was over 200 lbs was fat ,short ex lhvy C*ckell. The average weight for Marciano's challengers was 192lbs. Ali [1st reign ],204lbs, ie 12 lbs difference. Was Ali the bigger man against Terrell who was considered the best jabber in the division? Norton? Mathis? Lewis? Lyle? Foreman?
    Bugner?
This is really too easy to be fun.:verysad

You got to be kidding me. Spinks was like a wild terrier. Hard to read and totally unpredictable.
Kovalev is one of the most straight forward fighters in the sport today.
There's nothing unorthodox about his style at all.

He wouldn't be difficult to out box or figure out were it not for his power. Spinks would tear him a new A - hole.
Juergan Brahmear is more unorthodox than The Krusher.

Kovalev never faced anybody who was a quarter of the fighter Marciano was. Its based on nothing.

    Your words.

    :lol::lol:

This is false, as Ali was dropped by Frazier in 1971 when he was 29 years old. MORON. Hence, Ali was dropped in his prime.

You did not clarify that you were talking about the Banks fight only, if you did, you'd have better sense to say Ali was not in his prime for the Banks fight only but was dropped a few times after that. You did not do that until called out.

    Make any sense?

Ali had a much better and deeper amateur career in comparison to Banks, so Ali had the experience edge in that fight even if both were young.

Is there ANY boxing fan who does not know Ali was dropped in FOTC?
You just didn't comprehend the remark and took it out of context, it isn't your fault you are illiterate ,but you should recognize it and stop digging that hole.

You said Banks was only 21 ,the implication being Ali was older, when in fact Banks was born in1940 and Ali in 1942.
Quit now ,you're just embarrassing yourself.

I'm pointing out how terrible this style of arguing that you sucked me into is.

We each get 1000 point to go tit for tat against each other. We're just pulling them from the air and spewing them out.

"Walcott knocked Louis down, hardly a feat.":lol::lol:

Unless you're Muhammad Ali, you have no right to say that.

I have the right to say anything I want and I frequently do.
The fact that you disagree with some of it should not mean that you feel compelled to make little sniping comments which only serve to derogate yourself .
Louis was floored by Walcott x3,Schmeling x2,Braddock,Galento,B Baer,Marcianox2

I just hate see people talking trash about boxing legends.

How do I argue with someone who thinks flooring a reigning Louis is hardly a feat?

I don't talk trash about any boxer I respect any man who has the courage to get in a ring ,I know what it takes, but I dislike blind fan boyism.
Please provide examples of my"trash talking" about Marciano.
You don't argue, you just make unrelated, irrelevant comments.

Interesting, because looking over this debate, you seem to be willing to downplay other ATG's but strangely, after various contortion filled rationalizations, Ali seems impervious to the rationale you use against them. I think that's called blind fanboyism.
