Why do so many boxing fans dislike fighters with quiet personality like GGG?

and to add to that not only has he faced no one....but his career is handled exactly just like other fighters that his fans have bemoaned....they are all business over there with ggg....and more accmplished guys have had their names dragged through the mud on the internet over that approach...but this guy gets every pass in the book..

 

But but he looks black!

 

Because they are morons.

 

and fights slick'n and black, you can see why the uneducated burger flipper from McDonalds got confused :yep

 

Yet still only white people attack him. If it's not about him being boring, it's his viewership, ticket sales, blah, blah, blah. He is Black and he identifies as such because the dominate society does not give a **** about his Father being white. Race plays apart in everything I won't be naive like you. You can afford to do so not me.

 

Crawford doesn't have many haters does he?

We live in a fast paced, multi tasking, and an ever increasingly vacious world of meaningless time filling pusuits like twitter, reality TV and the iphone 167. Unfortunately, loud mouths grab the attention quicker and come out with brash sound bites and comments that can be condensed down to a 30 second youtube video.

This is why more people are captivated by Broner rather than GGG outside of the ring.

 

Yeah, what boxing really needs is two guys who promote a fight by being quiet while their manager does the talking or by mumbling a few words about "i'll try my best"...that would really bring the ppv numbers.

 

In America if you have a black parent and a white parent you are black... it wasn't blacks who made the rule. it was whites. that's how it has always been. this is why Obama is black.

 

Ward is not disliked because he's black he's disliked because he's a jesus freak.

 

When trash talking and WWE antics become the norm during pre fight build ups then it loses its value.

Most of the time when i see "bad blood" between fighters i just cringe.

Fights, if promoted the right way, don't have to have childish antics in the build up. Even the casuals can buy into a big 50/50 fight. If you need WWE theatrics in the build up then the chances are that it's not an even match up and/or the participants are not usually in exciting fights.

 

OK...well, for your sake I hope we see a lot more low-key, boring boxing promotional tours. :good
