Usyk has a foot injury and promoters aren't sure how long that will last. So they will probably look elsewhere for now.

Lebedev vs Glowacki unification in Russia. What do you guys think?

Lebedev is 36 yrs old and has a fight in May. I don't think Glowacki has an injury after the fight with USS so he should be good to go in 3-4 months for another fight.

He has an opponent in Ramirez, which will be a tough enough test in itself, I'd still go with Lebedev at this point, Denis like Glowacki is a skilled operator, who also happens to be a southpaw, an overall better southpaw, it'll be close, but Lebedev edges it.

    It's a 50/50 fight but i favor Lebedev in a war

Time is on Glowacki's side, he's slowly reaching his prime while Lebedev is slowly - but still - fading. If this will happen by the end of 2016, it's gonna be almost 50/50 fight for me. It has all the makings of a great, great war.

the Lebedev from a few years back would beat Glowacki, now it's a much closer fight, tough to pick a winner tbh

In another thread I gave Lebedev 55/45, due to more experience and somewhat more polished skills. Potentially action packed. Very competitive fight, though.

I certainly see it as a bloody affair. Whichever one can avoid an injury in the ring should be the winner (such as eye swollen shut, broken hand due to both having granite chins, etc..)

There really are some great matchups in this division. This is one for sure.

I'm reading mixed reports about Usyk's injury. Some outlets reporting he isn't far off resuming full training, others indicating they hope he can start in the near future but no real time frame.

Glowacki should fight Drodz. Drodz beat all the CW Poles. Glowacki is the best of them though, a real tough warrior. He wouldn't be helpless and lost, he comes to fight. First man ever to knock out Huck cold. I wanna see this fight, rather than against Lebedev. Lebedev won't fight many years, he should get his revenge against Huck first when he was robbed.

I would also suggest Glowacki to get a trainer like Shields, Sanches or JDJ. Fjodor Lapin ruined everyones career, there's lots of potential in Glowacki. He will never be a slick fighter, but he's a tough guy, good in countering and has a hard punch.

Yea I agree, his trainer Lapin is only showing success with Glowacki because Glowacki is a beast. A fight with Drodz would be interesting too. Drodz has a big strong frame and I could see him pushing Glowacki around with some punches. Glowacki would have to hit him hard early in order to get respect. Lots of good fights in this division and it's a shame the American media doesn't realize it.

While I think that Lebedev is the better fighter, he's got a lot more miles on him and would favor the youthful Glowacki.

There was an article in Polish news today that claims Usyk is saying he's ready to fight after his injury and if that's the case then he has 30 days to negotiate with Glowacki.
