Losing to salido is horrific if ones ever to be considered elite. Salido should had been nothing more than a showcase fight..but wtf

 

Many elite fighters lost to lesser guys than Salido.

 

I was a Salido fan before that fight. I never thought he got his just dues but after that I thought he was a real POS. To cheat on the scales was bad enough but then fight such a dirty fight too? **** him, he really should have been DQ'd in my opinion.

Salido came in way overweight, it was Loma's 2nd pro fight and he was figting a guy with a style you just don't really get in the amateurs and he had to fight him for 12 rounds. Add in the fact that he was fouled repeatedly throughout the fight and Loma, due to inexperience over the 12 round distance, paced the fight badly then i think it is understandable why he lost.

Loma isn't elite until he has the necessary names on his resume, but to say that he can't be elite due to losing to Salido, considering the above factors is ludicrous.

Loma has also improved considerably since then. I think he has the ability, and now experience, to beat anyone in and around his division. Hopefully these fights can be made.
