I hate saying this, but Spence might be better than young The Best Ever.

Well he mostly bangs the drum for TMT nowadays and previously I would've assumed he would probably, say, Theophane or Ishe Smith to outbox Spence, but... :think

True. Broner is very much a poser and product of the "now trending" generation. Toney is too obscure and hipstery an idol for him. Besides, what is he going to refer to him as? Way too old to be "big brother". Creepy mumbly great uncle Jimmy?

True, though I found the whole "big brother" thing stalkerishly creepy just the same.

Comparing the two, I gotta give the the ability to cut of the ring to Spence.

The man definitely knows how to consistently apply pressure to his opponents. He's done a great job cutting off the ring vs the two Chris's.

Power I'd give it to Spence

    Speed - TBE
    Skills - TBE
    Reflexes - TBE
Variety of punches - I gotta go 50/50 between these two men
    Footwork- Spence might win here
Hand speed - Spence might win here too.
    Chin - Mayweather here
    Intangibles - 50/50

    Man, it's just unreal.

    So you rate them 4-2-2

    Mayweather wins

Young PBF had greater footwork and hand speed.

I can't say for certain because Spence's footwork is more of an offensive variety while Floyd's is a hybrid between being offensive and defensive (In his hayday). But Spence seems to be so potent with his footwork right now.

Hand speed, it's damn close. Spence when he's nailing on guys is insanely quick with his hands.

I think you're making the same mistake Khan fans do when they say he is faster than Floyd. Optical illusion because of combinations (which Mayweather fired more of in his youth, but he never exactly subsisted on long flashy ones).

Single blow for single blow, 90's Mayweather is faster than current Spence - and even current Mayweather is faster than any Khan.

I think MVC is having himself a good laugh, although this thread still exudes a bizzaro world vibe, nonetheless.
