Why do so many boxing fans dislike fighters with quiet personality like GGG?

Golovkin does not have a quiet persona.

 

I'm not saying never have any beef with an opponent or even try to subtly amp it up, but when it is all the time and clearly fake do you not get bored of it? Are you seriously entertained by clearly staged animosity fight after fight?

Like i said earlier, a proper 50/50 between two fighters with complimentary styles doesn't need any fake WWE antics to build it up if it is advertised properly. Staging good fights and advertising the pro points of the fight is what is needed. Not fake "reality" tv shenanigans.

Fakeness is for WWE annd the X-Factor crowd. Boxing is real.

 

Actually I don't find Golovkin's personality boring at all I like his pre fight build ups. The fake pushing and shoving and shouting at each other,noses touching has become so passé.

 

You forget the condition of American schools over the last 30-40 years! We don't learn the differecnce between Slavs and Caucasians, Russians or Germans. In our ignorance we lump them all together! Kinda similar to what we do to the countries south of our boarder, they're all Mexican! El Salvador? Is that a town in Mexico? LOL

GGG seems like a really nice guy during his interviews. Who knows how any of these boxers are in real life, but he seems like a class act.

I don't think the majority of fans have an issue with the quiet/silent type. I think in gennady's case, people are more critical of his lack of competition up to this point in his professional career and probably have more of an issue with his outspoken trainer and management.

 

Ward isn't unpopular because of his skin color, it's because he has his head in the clouds and is cut from reality

 

Right?? That's why there's never been a single black fighter whe got any media attention, hype or drew any PPV numbers. GGG, due to his pale skin, did AMAZING PPV numbers last time out...probably because he was fighting a white guy.

When will a black man ever catch a break in this sport?!?
