Now that Conor "The Con Artist" McGregor has retired will that increase boxing PPVs?

I spent some time in LA recently and for the life of me I can't understand why anyone would want to live there. It's a rundown dive of a city on the whole with poverty in your face pretty much everywhere.

 

I'm not really convinced that this is serious but I wouldn't be surprised if it were true. Like Slav said he might have failed a drug test. It could also be that he knows his hypetrain his coming to a crashing halt. Diaz will stop him again, the 155 and 170 champs would murder him and the guy he's avoided like the plague at 145 is only a fight away from being his mandatory (which is complete BS btw).

 

not my cup of tea....but literally every guy just like mcgregor wants to go there and revel in the l.a. life....try to start a clothing company and hang out with rob dyrdek or something...maybe get a bit part in a movie

seems to the way most of these guys go

 

Also, his entire persona with all that trash talk won't work anymore. The build up for the Nate rematch would be lame. Every time he would talk **** he would just look lame after the way he lost the first time. He and his fans took his invincible aura and quasi-MMA guru stuff too seriously.

I promise you he isn't leaving that much money on the table while in his prime. Especially since he badly wanted the rematch with diaz

 

Bellator is changing that. Fighters are starting to jump ship.the rebock endorsement is killing UFC fighters pockets

 

He's scared to death. He doesn't want to leave his life in Dana White's ****fighting octagon. He just saw an MMA fighter brutally beaten to death in his town.

 

Think he's jumping ship to WWE

 

We'll see.I would put my money on him fighting 200

 

They'll just find some new bum to hype up and their dumb fans won't know the difference.

 

There's no way whatsoever that Conor is retiring. He's an expert in hyping up fights and that's exactly what he's doing.

He's made a lot of money off endorsements but he definitely isn't retiring after making $1million in his last fight.

Regardless of UFC's success though, boxing won't suffer.

 

He got a million dollar purse for the Diaz fight but he gets a cut of the PPV which is part of the reason he such a character in the build up to fights as he knows where the biggest chunk of his cash is coming from. I'm sure I remember hearing he made over 10 million for the Diaz fight once all was accounted for
