I'll second that. A few years ago someone started a thread comparing the punching power of George Foreman to Eric Esch. Sure Bean hit hard, but his entire record was comprised of boxing's worst tomato cans, many of whom boxed part time as a hobby rather than being serious pros. To ad insult to injury there were even a few posters who picked Bean as being the harder hitter of the two.

 

There was a poster here a number of years ago, who's name I can't remember who's specialty was posting hypothetical mismatches. I can't come up with any examples from memory but let's just say that he had some good ones that fit this topic.

 

Anything involving fighters of who never ventured into the fantasy opponent's weight class. Like Hagler vs. Qawi or something like that. Rather pointless.

 

Was it that WelcomePaladin guy? He made a case for Johnny Nelson outmanoeuvring George Foreman & stopping him late.
