The Maidana fights proved he wouldn't have a hope in hell against Duran.

In fact his defensive point scoring style wouldn't have worked against any of them.

its ridiculous to see people saying floyd would lose easily just like saying he would win easily. All 5 are ATGs and the only reason I would make Floyd the underdog is because of size. But its stupid to say they couldnt lose to him when they lost to lesser fighters before

Yes, we've seen his resume, and we know how he carried himself throughout his career.

You've got to be on mind bending drugs if you think Floyd would have signed to fight those guys.

If Floyd had been active in the 80's, he'd have taken more vacations than Clark Griswold.

Jeez, just look at some of the stunts he's pulled over the years.

You really think he'd have signed to fight a guy like Tommy who's 6'1, with a 78" reach, who also possessed an ATG jab and frightening power?

    You're living in a fantasy.

maidana, castillo, judah, and pac fights showed a lot about how he would fare with the fab 4. on an even playing field, floyd would lose even to a lot of potential opponents during the span of his career. he is just not dominant in his fights where he relies too much on defense to be compared to the fab 4 who all have great offense and power.

How would Floyd have tested Tommy's chin?

Yes, Ray had to go to war with Tommy Hearns to win. Which should tell you everything you need to know about how a fantasy fight with Tommy and Floyd may have played out.

No amount of money would have gotten him in the ring against Tommy.

Floyd's health and reputation came before any purse.

I've seen in this thread.. Floyd wouldn't knock Duran out at 135 lbs because Duran has only been knocked down 2 times in his career at that weight... Yet I've seen people say Duran would knock Floyd out and Floyd has NEVER BEEN OFFICIALLY KNOCKED DOWN IN HIS CAREER. This thread has such an agenda around it it's not even funny. Floyd is an ATG whether the haters accept it or not

Agree with this. Hearns is not only a great fighter in his own right but stylistically completely wrong for PBF. They'd have a body bag by the side of the ring for when the fight was over.

I also don't see PBF taking out Duran if Duran comes in on form. Not in a million years. If Duran was recovering from one of his party binges then yeah, maybe.

Leonard would imho be too fast and hard hitting for Floyd as well.

Hagler, while perhaps the best allrounder of the F4, might be the only one that Floyd could use hit pat n run tactics against. Old Hagler, that is. Even then I dunno.

You guys act like Floyd has always been the one to dictate the terms, you forget that before the ODLH fight he was fighting who ever whenever. Obviously once he got the fans he started dictating but thats no different than what SRL or ODLH did

I agree with Hearns. I think Hearns would actually knock Floyd out. Floyd and Duran is a toss up fight. I think it speaks to Floyd that we're pinning him against naturally bigger all time greats.. Imagine if we made threads about Ray Leonard v Roy Jones @ 160 or Hearns v Holyfield at 175.. That's what everyone is doing with Floyd.. Pretty comical.

Would Floyd have had the confidence to have ridiculed Duran and psyched him out like Ray did?

No, Floyd couldn't have gotten to Tommy's chin. Because Ray only did that once he'd stopped trying to box him, and he instead went toe to toe with him in a shoutout.

    Do you understand that?

Floyd would NEVER have fought Tommy in the way that Ray did. Because he didn't possess Ray's strength, power or will.

Seriously, you've got to be on some good LSD to even envisage Floyd in a shootout against Tommy.

You've not seen Floyd fight against anyone of their calibre.
