How could he jump 7/8 places for beating Wilder and Joshua etc?

If he can take fringe contender fury, I'd have him edge into 15th place based on massive longevity.

But we don't even know how good Joshua and Wilder are at the moment. We'll have to see how their careers turn out. At the moment, Joshua is still only a prospect and Wilder has looked very poor since beating Stiverne, apart from his great knockout of Szpilka. It may turn out that a HW beating Joshua or Wilder is no huge feat.

    He's made some valid points.

Wlad lost to 3 non great fighters in his 20's.

He struggled with Peter whilst supposedly being at his peak.

I get the point you're trying to make, but that's not like a young Clay getting caught, or Mike losing to a good fighter in Douglas, or Lennox losing to McCall.

Those losses really hurt Wlad, especially as they weren't all avenged.

the only one that was "avenged" was when the opponent years later had gone into retirement with half blind eye. When wlad gets beat, generally he hides in fear of a 2nd beating from the journeyman/retiree who handed it out.

That's why I give him kudos for coming back in against fury, its the first time hes come back from a loss to avenge it. Although to be fair fury didn't really hurt him and didn't have the ability or power to do that, so I don't think he fears getting beatdown, merely outgassed and outboxed.

That said I am willing Wlad to win.

Jameel MaCline destroyed Peter in the first two rounds. He would have finished the job if he didn't gas out completely from being chronically out of shape having took the fight on very short notice.
He was nearly 270lbs he was so out of condition , but he still put an absolute ass whooping on Peter.

When you see a peak , prime Wlad in his best condition having a far greater struggle with Peter in two fights than a woefully out of shape fringe contender from a terrible era , its a clear indictment of Wlads true level and standing as an ATG.

Much lesser fighters of the era have upstaged Wlads performances against the same opposition.

Carlos Tackam was out boxing a much fitter , rejuvenated Povetkin up until the mid rounds without a single clinch or foul.

Wlad began the Povetkin fight with a clinch. He was literally holding 5 seconds into he fight . He fully deserved a DQ by the 3rd round

Why was Tackam able to cleanly out box Povetkin for full rounds but Wlad could not?

Why was Wlad able to totally destroy a peak Chagaev and Povetkin went life and death? The reason is you are full of sh it, Oldsock.

    Chagaev peak?? hahaha:nut

Chagaev had just been deemed medically unfit to box Valeuv in a rematch right before he fought Wlad. Wlad should have fought Valeuv - not the sick puppy who failed the medical. HBO refused to broadcast the fight it was such a farce.

Three years before that Chaggy went tooth and nail with a shot John Ruiz and just barely edged out a decision.

After Wlad beat him , he failed another medical to box David Haye:patsch

And Povetkin never went any life and death with him.

How many Southpaws did he fought compared to the other ATG's?

Because he is at a decline. He is 40 and beating two gigantic, hard hitting world champions and Olympians in their 20s will to me at least prove he is a top 3 ATG.
