In my honest opinion, Duran would have broken Floyd mentally. And If he was active today, he'd have hounded Floyd on social media questioning his manhood etc.

    It would have been funny.

What I can't believe is that no one gives Floyd a chance to beat any great in history, or even younger versions of the people he shut out, but is clearly better than any boxer in the generation P4P..That means boxing talent has gone way down since then...

Do you believe Mayweather could beat Hearns at 147?

American boxing has most certainly taken a tumble in recent years. We just don't produce as many elite fighters as we used to.

At 130, I've Floyd as the GOAT. As 135 I would probably have him top 10 if I thought about it long enough. At 140, he more than likely would be up there if he had fought more than a handful of fights and had a better resume there. At 147 well......great fighter, but h2h against the historical elites?

I guess some people are just afraid of a critical assessment of Floyds boring, safety first career.

Only person that should be compared to/with floyd is duran because htey both started out at 130....

SRL, Hearns started out at 147
Hagler started out at like 154 or 160... i forget which

Maybe.. That's why I like basketball.. You have guys playing now that the legends are hyped about.. You have current players mixed in with the best of old.. In boxing it's like the top 20 or so is locked and no one could ever break it.. You could be the best from the time you turn pro until the time you retire.. You can be unstoppable and beat everyone in your way, but you would get knocked out in 2 by a great from the 80s...

I'm confused as to what this have to do with what I posted.. I'll answer it anyway.. I do believe he could pull out a win.. Why couldn't he? He always found a way to win.. I don't think he'll give up because there's no proof of him ever quitting.. I'm sure he would prepare for whatever Hearns gameplan was, and be on the top of his game.. It's not an automatic win or loss...
