The reason Duran looked so great that night is because Leonard's gameplan was literally to back Duran up. He'd look nothing like that if Floyd were in the ring. He'd look more like he did against Benitez.

LOL I'd give Floyd a 1% chance of beating Hearns and that's if Tommy twisted his ankle while getting into the ring. Some guys have red-tinted glasses ... :smoke

Ray would beat Leonard/Duran fairly decisively

    50/50 Hearns

    20-80 Hagler

    I hear you, Billy.

But let's be real, Mosley was old, shot and a good couple of 100 years older in ring years than his chronological age when he fought Floyd.

And let's not forget that he wasn't jacked up on his medicine cabinet of PEDs for that fight either like he was in his others. Mustn't forget that.

It's patently not a coincidence in the only fight he was subjected to additional testing his engine ran dry after only a few rounds. That's unheard of for that to happen to him and it was clearly a very stark contrast from the version of him we saw in his previous outing who was able to bounce endless barrages of bombs off Margarito's iron noggin all night without showing any signs of fatigue whatsoever. No EPO, no can go. :deal

And don't forget that Floyd was juiced out of his mind for that fight too, as he obviously was for most of his fights.

Cotto was seen as damaged goods at the time Floyd fought him after those horrendous poundings Margarito and Pacquiao gave him.

Canelo was drained to a cadaver on the scales by the Catchweight ''I'll Never Fight at Catchweights Give Me Them Where They're Nice And Strong So There Can Be No Excuses'' King.

Did you see how gaunt and frail he looked at the weigh in? He looked like he'd just been dragged out of a concentration camp. He was so weakened by getting down to the weight he instinctively reached for a chair and plonked his freckled ass down at the weigh in and he stayed plonked down on it for ages. I don't recall ever seeing a fighter do that.

He was only eating half a saucer full of rabbit food a day during that camp if that. He barely had any energy at all throughout it. Respected boxing trainer James Gogue said he was absolutely shocked by Canelo's lazy attitude to training when he visited his gym.

Gogue spent 10 days in camp with Canelo before the Floyd fight

I found an interview where he talks about it

5:07 and the full interview with Gogue is at the 1:21:46 mark

    http://www.blogtalkradio.com/wcsteel...a-weekend-wrap

Even my boy Dre SOG Ward was seriously concerned about Canelo being badly drained when he saw how weak and feeble he looked at the weigh in :yep

And Pacquiao was just a shell of what he was during his prime when Floyd decided it was time to man-up and finally managed to summon the courage to face him. Floyd didn't want anything to do with prime Pacquiao. It took seeing Juan Manuel put him to sleep for 20 minutes, face first sucking on the canvas like a catfish on the side of the glass of an aquarium, for him to finally man up and step up to the plate

''He'll never be the same after that''

    Guess who said that?

Floyd's crusade to ''clean up the sport'' was (as we all knew at the time and has now later been confirmed beyond any shadow of doubt to be true) just a pretext to avoid having to face Pacquiao when he was in his prime.

Pacquiao was his greatest threat, biggest rival, and an actual great fighter that was in their prime. And we all know Floyd's history when it comes to getting in there against prime greats. He somehow managed to miss the all despite him being the payday that everyone and their dog was yapping at the heels of. Don't worry.. I know.. ''But Floyd (ie. a notorious compulsive liar) called such and such out in post-fight interviews, doe'' :patsch

And when Floyd did finally stop clucking and a ducking and felt it was safe enough to face Pacquiao, what did Mr. Clean Up The Sport go and do? He ducked VADA testing. Ducked 'The Gold Standard' and insisted they both use FLOSADA who look the other way when he comes up dirty and administer illegal IVs to him in his home. :patsch :rofl

Pacquiao has done both VADA (The Gold Standard), and FLOSADA, whereas Floyd point blank refused to do VADA and has only ever used the agency who are clearly in his pocket.

And Floyd was clearly on PEDs when he fought Pacquiao too whereas Pacquiao who has never come up dirty even though he's been tested by both VADA and FLOSADA was likely clean.

Floyd wouldn't have ever fought legends like Duran, SRL, Hagler and Hearns. He ran from little ''Asian midget'' Pacquiao for goodness sake! Do you think those guys would've refused to fight Pacquiao or someone of his level unless they took the test? :rofl

''Hey Roberto, everyone wanna see you and Pacquiao get it on.. you gonna fight him?''

''You what!? I'll jump on a plane to the Philippines first thing tomorrow morning over and beat his ass in his back garden with his dad as the referee and his brothers and sisters judges and then I'll jump on the next one back over here as soon as I've done so and kick your ass for even questioning whether I'd do so!''

''You gonna make him take the test?''

''Make him take the test!?.. Screw that! I'll pay for his steroids out of my own pocket and I'll even inject them in his ass if he wants me to.''

I'm sure you and many other Flo-Emos will all disagree with my superb assessment of all this and you're entitled too. But I'm just calling it how I see it and how I think the vast majority of boxing fans across the globe see it. No point getting into it again though as it became incredibly tedious many moons ago and without meaning to come across as disrespectful and rude, most of you Floyd fans are more than a little mentally unhinged and in need of psychotherapy. Just my 2 cents. :good

Tommy Hearns is very skinny, almost frail at 147...Tommy as a fighter has way more weaknesses than Floyd Mayweather. The simple fact that the Hitman has no chin or ability to take many body shots could do him in. Its as if you only look at what Tommy does well and ignore everything Floyd is exceptional at.

    Yes it was.

Most importantly, along with the facts, I lol'd a few times too. Thus I am convinced it is the truth. :deal

Obviously Code Red is talking about PBF beating Hearns at a marathon. In which case I guess he might be right. :thumbsup

At boxing, Hearns punches his fist so deep into Floyd's skull he could lift him up and make him dance the rumba like his own personal marionette :hi:

Then the idea is to hit and not get hit or are suggesting it cant be done against Hearns? I certainly saw Leonard and Benetiz not get hit by Hearns when they didn't want to. If they wanted to stick and move and use their defense they did. Did Tommy eventually clip them, yes, but they certainly showed they could outbox and outmaneuver him in the ring.

Is that not what Floyd is the best at?
