Brook will fight malign ago in this BIG FIGHT he's been talking for years

I'm a big fan of Brook, and I do sympathize and understand why he's taken the fights he has since defeating Porter in America. However, his next opponent MUST be a legitimate name - Garcia, Thurman, Broner, Spence Jr, Bradley, Pacquiao... Hell, even a Porter rematch. If Malignaggi was to be his next opponent, and I just don't see it, then serious questions need to be asked either of Brook himself or Matchroom.

 

Most names seem to be tied up for July - I'm expecting Peterson.

 

PM would be one of the choices after he fought over here.

A big name, decent fighter, well known and can sell fights.

Howver he really isnt elite anymore.

Not bad for a quick defense but if this get drawn out and sold to be a step up or god forbid PPV it would be outrageuos.

 

Hearn wouldn't dare turn to a washed up Paulie at this point IMO - if he can't secure at least a Peterson level fight this summer he will probably get Brook to say he's injured to buy time for an autum fight

 

Totally agree.

I've defended Brook as much as possible because I think he is an exceptional fighter. Personally I think he disposes of Khan easily too, but now it's time to really step up the competition. It's a shame because the Porter victory got the Yanks talking about him but he's not capitalised on it at all.

Hearn imo is more concerned with hanging out of Joshua's backside.

I think it comes down to either Brook travelling to America to get the big fight or Hearn stumping up a wad of cash to bring a name over. It looks likely to be Peterson which isn't the worst but isn't great either.

 

Kell will whip Peterson like Matthysse did! I'm Brooks biggest fan but if its Malignaggi then i will start questioning things to be fair!

 

To much emphasis has been out on that ibf title, I don't exactly see a long list big names dying to get the belt off him. He should of binned the title and stayed in the States after the porter fight. His career has been a joke, hear rumours from credible sources that he likes to get on the sniff when he's out the stabbing thing only proves that. I genuinely think he's been happy with these bum defences.

If he was any sort of fighther he would of told Hearn to ram frankie Gavin up his backside and refused to fight anyone unless it was a name. Take a pay cut or offer to travel to the states again anything to get a better name. Your not telling me that Gavin was the best option they could of possibly found, he's got sky sports behind him the welterweight division isn't exactly packed with huge names in terms of the box office im sure if he got rid of the belt he could go still got some good names under in his record by now.

Say what you want about khan but he's been out there in the states taking on decent names again and again win or loss.

Brook has one more chance now, his next fight has GOT to be a big name he needs to beg Hearn to sort it out if he can't he needs to Jump to haymon like yesterday
