    It's a shame there isn't a proper boxing game.

Prime Tyson would have murdered everyone in early UFC - including Royce and Shamrock.

Tyson like any other boxer going into MMA without any training in the field would get his ass handed to him time and time again, in the same way an MMA fighter would get their ass handed to them in a Boxing ring. Clever move by the UFC to sell more copies of the game. The game is fantastic btw, they've made great strides in terms of gameplay and animations.

Exactly, back when UFC had part time athletes Thant Tyson really didn't need to be trained in MMA to beat those guys....... Big difference now with UFC and the way they are trained, Tyson would be soundly beaten by the top 10 guys.

At least tyson or any good pro boxer has a great punchers chance in any mma fight. Where no mma fighter ever could make it past the club boxing scene. They don't have that punchers chance.

The huge difference is you can be decent all around in mma and go very far, where boxing every aspect you have to be top notch or there's no chance

This is why I find UFC so boring now. Back when you had genuinely different disciplines against each other it was good fun. Now they're all trained in the same way and it's boring for the most part.

Yeah they are boring but much better overall fighters that's why Tyson would struggle now but destroy pretty much destroy all of them 20yrs ago

I'd love to see Tyson in MMA but a big part of me thinks he'd be awful. He was incredibly fast, explosive and powerful but his mobility and dexterity is very poor, even in boxing. Simple clinches often rendered him useless. He has very short stock limbs in addition to being over muscled. I could imagine him stuffing taking downs being so short and having a low centre of gravity but if he did get taken down I'd imagine he'd be terrible and not just because he isn't a grappler.

I would have liked to seen Tyson in the early UFC's against guys like Pedro Rizzo or Tank Abbot.

He'd have to change his boxing style too. He should have copied Igor Vovchanchyn's style, he laid out a blueprint how a short striker could dominate the HW in MMA.
