He fights GGG (assuming they both win) in his next fight. GGG will take his title if they don't fight anyway. Canelo constantly says he wants to fight the best. Holds himself out there as a true warrior. All that talk goes out the window if he doesn't fight GGG next. Canelo has shown his true self by wanting to fight Khan, a fighter significantly smaller than he is. Canelo hopes to put off the fight with GGG long enough so that GGG's skills deteriorate. Sad to see Canelo make these claims while always putting his opponents at disadvantages. He is a actually a big MW, coming into the ring usually around 170-175 on fight night. So, for him to fight smaller fighters and ask that GGG come down to 155 to fight for the MW championship shows what he is really made.

We will see what Canelo is truly made of by his decision after his next fight.

Canelo is a coward if King Khan can roll back the years and pull out a vintage performance hell save the middleweight division

You don't need to wait and see mate. I can tell you now, for a fact, El Pollo will absolutely not fight GGG. El Pollo is a huge embarrassment to the lineal title, Mexico and the sport.

Canelo isn't fighting GGG this year. they are going to try and frustrate GGG into taking the fight at 155. OR hope he goes up to the next division, then state he ducked them.

I was just watching Face Off between the two and Canelo is a much sturdier, bigger guy than Khan. I think Canelo should be ashamed for his cowardly behavior. If there is one thing I can't stand it is someone who claims to be a warrior in words but is a pollo in actions. I agree with you, DL, his nickname should be El Pollo.

GGG is just going to wait on that belt and keep fighting the Dominic Wades of the MW division. This guy can't give up 5 pounds to make a great fight or move up 4. Yes, Canelo is being a diva with his own division and sh!t. Ridiculous! But, he is the guy in charge until some other star comes along and takes his spot by force or other means. However, GGG's diva tendencies are showing as well. I give Khan credit for believing in his skills (although delusion plays a part) and daring to be great.

Disagree, in that GGG isn't acting like a diva in any way. Why should Canelo make a claim on the MW championship of the world and then insist that a fighter come down to 155, especially since he is already going to come into the ring the night of the fight weighing more than GGG?

How in the world can you claim GGG is acting like a diva when he is saying to Canelo "let's fight?" For some reason, you seem to be willing to bend the rules for Canelo. You are either a MW champion or you aren't. If you insist on a catch weight, then you are not the MW champion. Catch weights can make sense if you are in the HW division and there is a significant weight difference. But not in this case.

Catchweights make sense in the HW division? For real dude? How many HW C/W fights were Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis and the Klitschos (sp?) involved in?

No one is asking GGG to come down to 150. It's 5 pounds. And he already said he would fight anyone from 154 -168. He's not a huge MW. So, getting down 5lbs is probably doable. And it's a fight that would be quite significant...monetarily, legacy wise, great for boxing etc. Other great fighters have been able to do it. In fact we have examples of fighters from the same 2 weight classes who did it. (Yes, I know Canelo has created his own BS division....but you get the point.) For example, Hopkins and ODLH met at 157. Two great fighters willing to make a great fight.

ODLH of course was the A side, and the star so Hopkins had to honor the C/W...even though ODLH had fought at 160 the fight before that. And 4 MW titles were on the line...ODLH was defending the WBO title. I don't recall either guy b!tch!ng.

Face it...Canelo is the boss. And before that Cotto did what he wanted with GGG's precious little strap. GGG should just go take the fawking belt...instead of waiting for it to be handed to him. BUT as his trainer has already said, he's only willing to move down and risk a loss against "TBE". What a diva...who hasn't even earned the right to be a diva. He's not cut from that Hopkins cloth...doesn't want to be great. He just wants easy fights and titles. If GGG was even willing to NEGOTIATE on the weight it would at least show a willingness to want to seek greatness. But, he's got more cans than Campbells to choose from...so, he is obviously content.

GGG has said way back all he really cares about is to unify so whatever happens canelo fights him or he hands GGG the belt its win-win

Notice GGG never wanted to fight canelo only when won the belt did he want to fight him so its clear its just the belt he wants

You missed my point altogether about catch weights. I'm not saying they have done that in the heavyweight division, because weights are unrestricted. I'm saying if any weight division decided to implement a catch weight before a big fight it would be in the heavyweight division since there is such a huge variance in weights.

As to Canelo, he may be the boss in terms of drawing the most fans and money, but he is an oversized chicken and hypocrite when it comes to putting his money where his mouth is. El Pollo is living up to his new nickname. GGG would kick his ass and El Pollo knows it. He acts like a tough guy but in reality, he is afraid of the G Man.

Canelo said he'll fight him at 155. GGG doesn't think its a good idea, yet he was willing to fight Little Floyd at 154. :think
