    He beat every name? See there is your problem. Disregarding him ducking the true threats and fighting some of the big names after they were already exposed or washed up.

    here's floyds amazing resume of beating elite fighters while they were still prime:
    Corrales
    Castillo
    Hernandez (who oscar already humiliated)

    That is it. wow he really fought everyone, except Tsyu, Freitas, Spadafora, (who whopped floyd in sparring), LW mosley, Williams, Marg, and prime Pac.

    Lets all raise our glasses for such an achievement of ducking more big names than actually fighting.:patsch

    If the names you listed were "threats" and established themselves as the logical opponents for Floyd then that's who he would of fought. Floyd fought all the relevant opponents needed to solidify his status. Frietas, Zoo, Spadafora, all defeated by lesser opponents than Floyd and barely made any history of their own.

    If all these opponents you claim Floyd ducked are so great and threatening then list their history and accomplishments, what exactly did they achieve that makes them relevant or even comparable to Floyd's career

    I've never seen a fight trainer interviewed that would favor a defensive fighter over Hearns.
    It doesn't just go for Mayweather, but if you polled 100 trainers, almost all to a man would say Tommy Hearns would easily beat Pernell Whitaker who is the epitome of a defensive fighter, more slippery and more offensively active than Floyd Mayweather.

    You fail to answer any of the dilemma's being questioned you.

    How does Mayweather go about beating Hearns?


    ......and lastly, you still haven't answered the question of which era is better.

    Chavez, Whitaker, Leonard, Hagler, Hearns, Duran........

    Name any fighter that Mayweather has fought that was on that level?
    Just one, and don't say Delahoya as he was on his way out and still he gave Mayweather a good fight and in many cards drew and even beat Mayweather.

    Mayweather couldn't even clearly beat a past it Delahoya, and here you are trying to make a case that he has a chance vs a prime Tommy Hearns. :lol:

    Have you seen his fights at WW?

    He could not have roughed up Tommy Hearns.

    How would he have implemented his offense enough to have won a decision?


    GIVE ME A BREAKDOWN.

    And I don't want the usual:

    "Floyd could adapt"

    "Floyd overcame physical advantages"

    "Floyd's unbeaten"

    "Hearns lost to lesser fighters"


    I want an actual breakdown that's based on logic, of how Floyd himself could/would have won the fight.

    De la Hoya and Floyd didn't fight at welterweight, they fought at 154 Oscars choice.. and even if they did fight at 147 in Oscar's prime I'd still pick Floyd to win. And by the way, Tommy Hearns beat Duran which he should have considering the weight and size advantage. And who else GREAT did he beat...... Virgil Hill? cough.....Benetiz?...flawed...Is that it? Is everybody else cab drivers? No names?

    Like I said Floyd's wins are greater than Hearns wins, dispute that if you can.

    How did he duck Margarito when Margarito was never his mandatory? Oh, you're talking about when Arum made Margarito go over to Floyd during a signing or something and ask Floyd for a fight lol. That's what "duck" means.:rofl

    Yeah I've seen him fight at Welterweight and I have seen him make every opponent respect his power. Manny was suppose to walk right through feather fist Floyd yet Floyd had him flinching every faint and scared to throw his own punches! Wasn't Alvarez suppose to walk right through feather Floyd...yeah the big strong Alvarez who everybody claim is the best thing boxing today?

    Wasn't Cotto always said to be too strong, durable, too much heart for Mayweather, Cotto was the one leaving the ring with a swollen head and face! If Floyd couldn't punch or had power he would not be in the position he is in! I grew up in the 80s and maybe you didn't but I saw all those heroes you reference get they asses whooped multiple times. (save Hagler)

    I aint never seen Floyd get his ass whooped, that in your mind mean he aint fought nobody, but fortunatley I can see that he simply has superior skill and talent. He is way more advanced than the basic fighter you use to seeing.

    Then Pac should of took the test in 2010 instead of running to Joshua Clottey. If you respect Pac for ducking a drug test then we will agree to disagree. I personally can not root or support any athlete who runs from drug testing, maybe you can.
