It wasn't a couple of months ago. I've seen him say he wants to see how good he is by fighting GGG. He probably wanted a few defences first and I don't blame him for that.
Ward can spoil GGG, only guy I see beating him around that weight class. I could see Floyd outboxing him on his best night but if Maidana can put some hurt on Floyd, GGG is like a bigger, more skilled, harder hitting version of Maidana. He comes in with more precision but still has those weight overhands to get through that shoulder, and even if Floyd blocks it with his shoulder, GGG power would still move him.
Hhmmm... it was after BJS won the belt from Andy Lee on Dec. 19th 2015 that the offer to meet GGG in April, 2016 was made. :rofl It was a couple of weeks later, that BJS replied he "WASN'T READY" to meet GGG and declined the offer. So in January, 2016 BJS refuses the offer to meet GGG. Yep... a couple of months.
They are trying to set up a big PPV no matter how good GGG is or isn't. GGG is a smug all hype, no defense hard hitter who has people afraid to stand in and fight him. The hype is enormas. GGG needs a real opponent who smacks his Ukrainian grin off his mutton face !
