Ramirez wouldn't beat Callum Smith. Ramirez beat an old shot to pieces AA and now he is the man to beat Golovkin? Really? I know many of you dislike Golovkin, want to see him beaten but get a grip on reality. Even if Golovkin fought and beat Ramirez then most of you would be saying Ramirez needed more fights, needed more experience and he wasn't that good anyway and his best win was an old shot to pieces AA. Do some of you have any idea how bitter and clueless you are sounding?
I dont think that makes Wade the mandatory. Wade was picked to be a punching bag and be able to showcase Golovkin on free HBO weekend. Its pretty simple, GGG needs to step up and face someone who even some casuals recognize, and preferably a fighter that Canelo has faced. Trout, Lara, and Cotto are three that GGG should gun for. "Canelo went the distance with "said" fighter, GGG just took him out in 6" That's how you build a fight and make it big. As it is now, GGG has a resume of mandatories that are mostly stiffs by championship standards, he needs to step up and take a risk. Lara has called him out before, but instead of caliing out Lara last night, GGG opens his big mouth and say's he wants his "belt." "Who wants to fight me? Canelo is running from me. Who wants to be next? Cotto, Lara, Trout, and of the fighters that gave Canelo a good fight, I'm waiting for you." That's what I would be saying if I were GGG and really felt confident about beating anyone. But that's not what he's doing, he's sitting with his belts and taking on the stiffs that are of the weak middleweight division.
All 3 aren't even 160 fighters. Trout is no better than the class of fighters Golovkin has been destroying. Cotto *****ed out before. As for Lara he's a hype job if ever I saw one. Got a gift and should of loss to Molina, went life and death with Angulo and Vanes yet be is deemed as some sort of bogey man. And as for calling people out he is currently trying to get the man who beat both Trout and Lara into the ring bug you just go ahead and ignore that.
Trout, Lara, Cotto may be all you say they are, but in GGG fighting them he can then make a case that he's better than Canelo and force Canelo's hand to have to fight him. GGG fighting those guys gives everyone a comparison of what he does to fighters that gave Canelo a tough go of it. As it stands right now, Canelo is going to make more money fighting Khan and there is interest from Bob Arum to make Canelo vs Pacquiao. Even Mayweather may come out of retirement for a rematch with Canelo if Canelo looks spectacular vs Khan. There are better money fights out there for Canelo than a GGG fight, that's why GGG has to position himself to force Canelo's hand and he simply is not doing that by standing put and facing mandatory stiffs like Wade.
Why would he bother trying to get Trout or Lara to fight him (Cotto is a woman,he's already avoided him) when he is next in line for the WBC title? Team GGG need to stand firm and force the mandatory.
Considering the complete lack of threads talking about him after he schooled Arthur Abraham, GGG would be absolutely correct.
The IBF ordered Golovkin vs Wade, GGG had to take the fight or be stripped. Before that Golovkin tried to get Saunders (who admitted that he wasn't ready to face Golovkin), and then Korobov.
