I'm sure they'll come to an agreement anyway, if not 155 then 157/158 or something like that, he didn't step his foot down on the mando just so that he can fight him later, he's going to compromise on weight as well.

Should he? As somewhat of a purist, IMO no, Canelo as a MW champion should defend his titles at 160, period. But that's boxing.

  6. Pro- he is mandatory and doesn't have to fight at 155

Cons- Canelo is cornered and has no choice thus this thread. You are as terrified as Canelo.

Mad about what? I was a big GGG fan, but like most people, we are sick of him fighting bum after bum after bum.. he's had opportunities to fight real opposition but he seems to always have resons why he can't fight them.

I'm also a Canelo fan, and I do not like catchweights, but considering the WBC belt is a joke, and considering that Canelo won it at 155, and considering that Canelo has NEVER fought at the 160 limit I can't be mad at Canelo, if anything we should be mad at the WBC for this hot mess....

...That being said, Canelo has PROVEN more often than GGG that he will take the toughest fights available. I think its time for little G to step up already and compromise something to make a real fight.

Why would ggg fight canelo at 155 but not for the belt? Lol...makes 0 sense

And u do know that belt is about to be defended at 157 and under for the 4x in a row right?

  13. I care about 3G unifying all 4 major titles. Canelo is just in the way. It does not matter if it's against Cotto,Martinez, or Canelo. The blatant ducking needs to end

Canelo should vacate to GGG, then offer to fight him at 155 next year when Canelo is ready to cash out. Canelo is the bigger draw, but Gennady will have 3 or 4 middleweight titles by then so a fight at 160 with a 50/50 purse split sounds nice.
