Let's hope Briggs gets passed the jab and nails Dimitrenko. Usually the guy freezes when taking a hard punch.

    Good match-up.

Wow, solid fight. Expected a 1-17 Latvian journeyman type.

    Briggs by KO.

Dimitrenko can't hold a shot well at ALL. Shaky whiskers, plus he seems to respond poorly to adversity in there. But...

... if he goes past 3, he's got the wind at his back vs current Briggs.

Briggs needs to win so he can share a ring with David.

I predict that this fight will not come off.

If it does, Briggs actually has a good chance. Dimentrenko is the only 6'10" fighter I ahve every seen bullied by a cruiser (Eddie Chambers).

    sadly...

Dimitrenko will pull out last minute...

and they'll pull a Bosnian Cab Driver...

out of the audience to replace him...

    :dead

Actually not that bad a match up. Tough to call really as Briggs hasn't fought anyone decent in such a long time. Given it's so setup for him to fight Haye, I'm going to assume they know something we don't and pick a Briggs KO

Jeez, this is a better match up than the shocking main event!

Actually a really solid fight and shows that Briggs is serious.

David Haye has absolutely ZERO shame. Choosing a better opponent for Briggs than his own :-(

Actually, it would not surprise me if BRIGGS is the one who withdraws from the fight, should things fall through somehow.

He should at least be able to beat a guy like Dimitrenko if he's even half as serious as he says he is.

No way, seriously?! I'll believe it when I see it. That's a 50/50 fight. I can't believe Briggs would agree to fight such a big risk for what can't be a very big purse.

And either one is substantially better than Arnold Grbaga or whatever his name is. Honestly, the winner would be a semilegit contender, and would have proven more than Haye has in his return campaign.

I'm pulling for Briggs, and would make him the slight favorite. Dimitrenko will probably outbox him at first, like he did against Pulev, but then he'll probably lose heart (like he did against Pulev), taste Briggs power, and fold.

He's always "slipping" though. He goes down from a strong breeze and complains about the other fighter to the ref about it.

Every guy that gets into the ring deserves at least some measure of respect, but I respect Dimitrenko less than any active HW. Badmouths other fighters outside of the ring, complains about bs to the ref in the ring, and always finds a way to get on the mat, whether by kd or "slip".
