Had a chance to see what I saw yesterday - by a mile the most expensive ticket prices seen for a UK fight
Indeed, the draw of the belts though I suppose? This isn't meant as a demeaning comment but Fury is hardly a huge seller and from what i can gather, Klit fights in Germany often have discounted tickets on the likes of Groupon Etc. This would never sell out a 40,000 stadium over here, so I guess having a close sell out in a arena half the size looks better for the TV, and as a result of the 'limited' tickets an arena can sell means the prices are ramped up. Other than the 2 cheapest upper tier or the cheapest lower tier price points, the ticket costs are shocking!
One of the issues with the UK is the lack of indoor venues with capacities over 20k. Are many Germans coming over?
Actually never thought about travelling numbers from Germany, I can't see there being many, but you never know - guess there'll be a few UK based Ukrainians up at the MEN on the night though.
The Germans would not pay for the inflated prices in Hamburg for the Haye fight and there won't be many coming after viewing those prices.
To be fair, FW probably couldn't give a **** about fury/klit ticket prices/sales, the people who can't afford the tickets will just subscribe to BN
In fairness who expected tickets to be cheap? The men arena even though it holds 22,000 is small for an event this big Id also add that the men arena is an amazing boxing venue and no matter where your tickets are you will have a good view. I aim to go to this one, haven't got tickets yet but il see what happens The cheapest seats for groves froch were all like 100 and you would have barely been able to make out the ring from there ,the same price tickets in the men will get you a good view
Just looked at my Eventim order history - I had the following for tickets for previous fights at MEN Fury vs Haye - Block 218 Row J - Face value £40 Froch vs Groves 1 - Block 207 Row L - Face value £40 I am guessing these seats are the £80 or £125 for Fury vs Klit? very very high prices.
you going this time man? cheapest tickets for the fight this time are 100 poundish, thinking of getting some
No mate, a bit too rich for me this one! I'll watch from home - you can still get the £135 ones easily enough on Eventim though, and I reckon they'll be a further release of the cheaper ones too - and this is one where the touts will surely be taking a big hit on them, so potential 'bargains' to be had if you play the waiting game, although not for me!
ya its pricey enough, i can also see the printworks being like a war zone before and after the fight im on the fence, really want to go but don't know if il be free.
