The reason why Wlad lost first fight is very simple, Wlad doesn't have a heart, he's a coward, that's why Klitschkos old trainer Steward once sad "despite the fact that Wladimir is more talented, Lennox will always be greater fighter". If Lennox lewis would have been in the situation that Wlad is he would turn this fight in a dog fight. Wladimir has always been a coward in a heart, when he's not in his comfort zone he's mentally weak.
Which is relevant how? Lewis didn't have much choice, he lost his wbc belt twice to ktfo. Sanders vacated the wbo strap. You think Lewis would have chased down his two ktfo losses if the dudes had vacated? Nope. Anyway, K2 beat Sanders.
To be honest, no "version" of Wladimir had ever faced an opponent quite like T. Fury (until last November). Wladimir only really has two distinctive "versions" anyway... Pre-Steward and Post-Steward.
I'd favor Klitschko, but Fury could have played spoiler then too, cuz even then Wladimir was reluctant to let his hands go.
Still straight lines vs lateral movement. Power vs reach. Speed vs reflexes. Stamina vs size. He would still have to overcome the very same issues.
