Brook vs Vargas - negotiations as we speak

    Hearn in the states discussing terms for a Brook Vargas unification fight.

    Can't say I'm surprised at all, this was always the most likely scenario.

    I'm not over the moon that Brook will be fighting a guy who won the WBO belt because Bradley fought Pacquiao. Similar with the Joshua Fury situation.

    Can't blame Brook for taking this option as its a unification fight but I'm really not over the moon with Vargas as an opponent tbh if this is what we end up getting

    Bradley/Khan pulled out of an eliminator to fight Brook.
    Bradley has turned down the offer of a fight with Brook this summer.

    They pulled out of an eliminator because they didn't want to end up being IBF mandatories and get only 25% of the purse. Both Bradley and khan would make a hell of a lot more than that in a voluntary defence.

    Makes complete sense business wise why they pulled out.

    Thurman and Porter are facing off too, so not sure who else people expect Brook to fight?

    True and Errol Spence may do the same. So when Kell's IBF mandatory is called and it is against some nobody because the IBF went down the rankings until somebody agreed to being a mandatory please don't start blaming kell brook or eddie hearn.

    He'll only get stuck if he fights bums as voluntaries like Gavin... Everyone's allowed an easy fight but you have to fight decent opposition in between. That's why brook gets stick, cause he's done sweet ****** all since the porter win almost 2 years ago!

    Vargas is decent, not the best champion by any means but he's a step up

    Yeah for people who are moaning. I am interested to see who they think kell should be fighting this summer.

    I'm not moaning, but when we're hearing names like Bradley, Garcia, Cotto, GGG and end up with Vargas it's a kick in the teeth....

    If I was Eddie I'd be doing everything in my power to get Garcia

    Exactly!! I hate how people are so sceptic and critical.

    Who do they want?

    Thurman and Porter are fighting each other so they are out

    That leaves Vargas and Garcia

    I never thought Garcia would travel.

    I like the Vargas fight

    A unification would be fine. Who else is available? Options are limited for a summer fight.

    Pathetic option. They don't want a tough fight they are hoping Khan loses and hoping to make that. He's gone on about big Names like Golovkin, Garcia, Thurman, Spence. Id of tolerated a step up to 154 for Walsh.

    First real elite level name he faces he will be bashed up!

    Firstly GGG is a MW so that's never going to happen now.

    Garcia costs money.

    Thurman is fighting Porter.

    Spence just thought and will be mandatory down the line.

    Khan chose Canelo instead of Brook.

    GGG wouldnt fight at 155, Garcia is waiting for floyd in september and thurman is fighting porter.

    Bradley's teams said no for a fight in the summer and same with cotto.

    Spence was never gonna happen in June/July and no that is not because kell is not willing to fight either.
