At this point Martin has yet to beat any legitimate contenders.
Bonecrusher while not the most beautiful fighter in a technical sense had a big punch, rock chin and a champions heart!

Smith has Ko1 wins over both Weaver and Witherspoon two guys who would hold titles in this present Era.

The win over Bruno trumps anything Martin has done, Ribalta, Ferguson, Bey hell all 3 of those guys when Smith beat them were good fighters.

Point is comparing Martin to Smith is silly unless Martin actually bounces back and scores some legit wins, if not he will go down as one of the worst heavyweight "belt holders" of all time!!

Bruno is an atg ko artist with one of the highest ko percentages. It's puncher vs boxer.

But my point is Smith/Bruno was in 84; 32 years of passed and as mentioned Smith had a very solid career. Martin may comeback and prove himself solid too, he may never recover from the defeat, in 30 years we will know.

But I will say is Martin has beaten a contender (albeit due to injury) and 84 Smith's plus points were a victory over the green Bomber going into the Holmes fight.

    Joshua must be proud...

I am guessing you do not understand what the term 'bum' means in a boxing sense. Martin clearly is no 'bum'.

If Martin is the worse you have seen, you have not watched much boxing...

And anyway being the worse does not necessarily mean on itself, you are a 'bum'. A bum in boxing comes 'off the street' straight into the ring. And there is solid evidence to suggest Martin had pro fights prior to fighting Joshua...

list your hw belt holders worse than Martin (IBF, WBC, WBA or even WBO). Let me laugh even more at you.

Ok, I get what you're saying. Based on the few fights I've seen Martin in I highly doubt he reaches anywhere near the success of the Bonecrusher but I get what you mean, he "potentially" could prove better than the taste the Joshua fight left in everyone's mouth.

But if this is the end of him then he'll have to go down as one of the worst heavyweight belt holders of all time.

Holmes late round stoppage, figure Bruno fights well early on, even wobbling Holmes on occasion but ultimately tires down the stretch & is stopped on his feet, same ending as all the others, lack of stamina.

This, Holmes' rights would start adding up toward the end, making Bruno drunk and ripe for mugging.

Holmes was very good which means Bruno gets knocked out.

Actually I think this is more competitive than people think, Holmes was faded by 84 and not the fighter he was. Thats why he wasn't taking on the best opposition during 83-85, Bruno has some attributes like a great jab, and a booming right hand which was Holmes's achilles heel.

Overall I think Bruno may have some moments early on competiting with Holmes with the jab, and maybe stunning Holmes with the right hand. But Holmes greater class and more experience would catch up to Bruno eventually, and I think he scores a late TKO against Bruno.
