Wilder was almost KO'd by Sconiers. A journeyman with a losing record. Cunningham may be a light hitter but he was world class at CW, and contended at HW. Both guys have shaky chins but if we're to go by the criteria you used Wilders is far worse.
Fury gets KO'd in his return with Wlad. Retires for a few months goes into a depression balloons to 25st then comes back 9 months later to be KO'd by AJ. Wilder never happens...
This has a real possibility of happening. Even though Fury/Wilder is a fight a lot of people want to see, I want Wlad to stay in the mix for a while. I'd pick Wilder by ko.
actually the majority of pundits and people on this site had artur up at the time of the stoppage. only people who had wilder up were the commentators on what ever us channel he was on and bandwagon guys bellew, nelson etc all had artur up
Klitschko had a tiny bit of success when he started throwing at the end of the Fury fight, but even then wasn't putting everything behind his punches. Wilder seems like the kind of guy that will put everything on the line and I think that Fury doesn't have enough power to keep him at bay. I think he'd catch Fury, so possibly Wilder by stoppage.
Fury would stop Wilder. It is just a differance in skill level. Fury outboxes a guy with 23 title defenses, Wilder fights guys who nobody has heard of or are multiple first round KO vicitms. I am on record as saying that Fury hits as hard as Wilder. Wilder's "power" is based on creative matchmaking. When he fights someone who sucks but has a pulse, he has them dive (Scott), can't stop them (Stiverne) or has to rely on the ref (Duhaupas.) Fury has a 72% stoppage ratio, and that is while focusing on scientific boxing in his last few years. He just has enough power to stop durable guys like Chisora with his jab. Easy fury win.
Before Wlad/Fury I would have voted for Wilder because of his big power and Fury's so-so chin. After Wlad/Fury I will take Fury, comfortably. His dimensions are very problematic and especially his movement in the ring. Wilder would have to chase and wouldn't be able to set up his shots, whereas gorilla-arms Fury could pitter-patter him all night long. Leastways, that's how I see it.
*cough*cunningham*cough* Fury has a chin made of fishpaste. If Wlad hadn't been mummified he would have squashed it like a ripe tomato. Nevertheless, credit where credit is due. Fury has good movement and a huge wingspan. I think he'd pose some severe problems for Wilder who relies on size and power ... and would be facing a bigger man with the style to nullify his power game. Since Wilder's chin is arguably equivalent to wet toiletpaper, Fury might even be able to KO a gassed Wilder late, assuming that he didn't gorge himself on hedgehog pies beforehand. (Mind you, Nichols came straight from the eat-all-you-want buffet to his fight with Wilder and knocked him down so maybe the pies wouldn't be a problem for Fury.)
Fury was off balance when Cunningham landed and also only had 1 foot on the canvas even Hercules would have gone down off that shot wlad landed 2 big right hands 1 after the other on Fury and they had no effect on him You really need to think before you post lil kid
