Why hasn't Canelo learn English yet?

It would open more opportunities for becoming a bigger star, but learning a second language as an adult can be difficult. English isn't exactly the easiest either. Not making excuses for the guy, he has the luxury of ample free time that most don't have, it's just not a super easy endeavor to take on.

He does know English, he just chooses not to speak it. You can watch most of his interviews and the always ask in English and he immediately responds, but he responds in Spanish. I think he just wants to stay true to his roots.

 

This would help the Cubans too. Obviously they are Black but Afro Latinos ate an ultra small minority. With Latinos being the most racist idiots in the planet it would help Lara, Gamboa, Rigondeaux to learn English to appeal to different communities, but nope.
