Dirrell actually beat Golovkin in one of their two amateur contests. It was only by a solitary point though and it was during a USA vs Kazakhstan duel over in the US.
I know he won but there was no schooling or "boxing his ears off" in there. In fact, you can easily make a case for Golovkin winning that one too.
Degale looked bad against an over-worn Bute. He's too inactive. He takes a lot of mid rounds off to go rest on the ropes and it was at those points Bute would catch him, and hard. How would he handle the pressure of GGG then? Answer is he wouldn't. He'd get knocked out by Kovalev too.
Why is it that anytime someone loses, they are deemed "exposed"? Some of you guys use that term way too frequently. Could the bigger man, James DeGale, beat GGG? Sure! But it would more than likely be a styles make fights scenario. James has the style (and size) needed to beat GGG. We all know DeGale is a very good fighter. No shame in either GGG or Kovalev losing to him. It takes a very good fighter to beat a very good fighter. All three are very good so there would be no "exposing" going on. For the record, both Golovkin and Kovalev beat DeGale by decision in my opinion
True. My favourite Dirrell ''schooling'' was when he spent the entire duration of his fight against Curtis Stevens backpedaling around the ring at breakneck speed like he was being pursued by Mike Tyson on PCP. :yep
Porky Medina just EXPOSED Chunky.:deal As did Piotr Wilczewski, Hadillah Mohoumadi, Gevorg Khatchikian (even though he got KO'd) Groves, Dirrell and Bute to a certain extent.
I like DeGale but if he steps up to 175 and goes anywhere near Kovalev it won't end well for him. Kovalev would switch his lights out.
I like Porky, he won be over when he made Love's butt jiggle.:yep DeGale really is lucky Uzcategui had that staph infection, he handled Medina fairly easily, he might have pushed DeGale's **** in even more than Medina.
I see another Judah.Right cross on the jaw from Triple G. Degale ( southpaw) does the stanky legs all over the ring lol.
Probably... Medina can fight, and would trouble anyone at 168.. Personally I'd like to see him Fight Chavez Jr or even Ramirez.
He already fought Ramirez about 4 or 5 years ago, Zurdo KO'd him somewhere in the middle rounds, I forgot which one.
