False, he doesn't need to move up or down in weight when he hasn't even achieved the belts at 160lbs. It's like hounding Lomachenko if he doesn't move up to 130lbs (which he has) even though he hasn't yet achieved what he wants to at 126lbs (all the belts).

I'm going to say absolutely, positively false.

Gennady does not lack heart, and I honestly don't believe he fears any challenge (much in the same way I don't think Canelo really "fears" Gennady).

Boxing is, for the boxers, first and foremost a business. The people advising Golovkin probably believe (and rightly so, I'd reckon) that the biggest potential money fights on the foreseeable horizon are with guys 160 and less.

Is it disappointing that Gennady is unable to land a big fight? Yep! His mismatches are growing tiresome to me, and the top guys he's gunning for are better off steering around him, business wise, because he's a huge risk and he doesn't bring much money to the table.

But despite that disappointment, I can't say that Gennady lacks heart, and I don't believe he does for a second.

He's just embracing the same risk/reward factors that all high profile boxers consider in making career decisions - same as Canelo.

Lara and Canelo are better than any 160 fighter right now.

    True.
All the modern day greats move up through the weight divisions to prove their greatness and challenge themselves.
It is disappointing to see a talented fighter like GGG waste his career fighting inferior opposition.

Two of the top 3 MW's (Monzon & Hagler) failed to make a "move up" effort.

On the flip side, in the past, it was basically expected by the fans for the legit welterweight champion to take a shot at the reigning MW Champion.
