    Khan wins on points.

Funny how Maidana didn't hurt Amir? In fact he even nearly got taken out inside a round!

Back the Brit, Khan will win this with his speed and footwork.

Maidana didn't hurt him? Of course not.

    Did he deck him?

    Did Khan deck Maidana?

Imagine the comments on this forum for that fight if it was made after the Broner fight or first Floyd fight? Exactly the same as now..."Khan is getting chinned etc".

Khan's problem has never been his chin, it's been his defence. The shots that have put him down have been genuine shots, but his defence has been all over the place at times which has exposed his chin. He looks a lot better under Virgil than Freddie Roach IMO and he takes this on points, surprisingly easily, for me. Canelo had absolutely no answer to Mayweather's footwork all night long and this will be a repeat of that. Then Mayweather, who recently filed trademarks for 'TMT 50' and 'TBE 50'; comes out of retirement to face Amir, losing on a split decision.

Canelo via KO in round 1.

It makes sense for Canelo to go use power shots early.

Khan is known for being caught cold early. Watch Prescott for Exhibit A.

Khan is nowhere near as elusive as May.

May could literally run and hide from anyone within the ball park of his weight class in world boxing for 12 rounds. He is an A* for elusiveness.

Khan by comparison has been knocked down by British level operators three weight classes smaller than him. Khan has been put to sleep by a Colombian road sweeper, whose career after beating Khan has been appalling. Khan has a C- for elusiveness

Yes- Comparing Khan to Mayweather in elusiveness ratings is outright re****ed.

Agreed but also if people think Mayweather simply was elusive v Canelo they watched the wrong fight. Mayweather pops hard enough and is accurate enough to make his opponents think twice about coming forward. Khan doesn't have that the power or accuracy to do something similar.

Not forgetting Mayweather is a master of distance and confuses opponents into them thinking they are in range when in fact they are ever so slightly not.

There are no direct comparisons between Floyd and Khan.

Yeah because Khan has shown us previously just how great his footwork he is when he managed to stay clear of Peterson and bamboozled the mighty Algeri...........Oh wait.

Styles make fights - were you one of the many saying 'Tyson Fury struggled with Joey Abell/Steve Cunningham, he's getting iced by Wlad'..?

Same theory - yes, Khan got dealt with properly by Prescott and Garcia, but he's all wrong for Canelo in a similar way to Mayweather, and he's all wrong for Mayweather too.

We'll see - I'll be happy to admit I was wrong come Sunday morning, by the way, no excuses; will you?

Styles do make fights but that doesn't change the fact that Amir lacks ring IQ, has a tendency to slow down after the first few rounds and unless his being spoon fed instructions constantly makes silly errors. Khan could get tagged by Canelo and his reaction will be the usual reaction which is leave himself open for more big shots.

I was actually laughing so hard I couldn't even respond to your post straight away.

What planet are you living on when you think that AMIR KHAN'S chin isn't a problem!? :rofl:rofl:patsch:patsch

No Khan didn't hit the deck against Maidana (even though he stumbled around in most of it like a drunken idiot) in a very rogue result considering the rest of his career. Then again Maidana couldn't KO Victor Ortiz either who also has a Glass Jaw so maybe that says something about Maidana's 'power'. But he did go down to the likes of Gomez, Drilzane, Limmond, Prescott, Watson, Garcia and Diaz who have a combined KO ratio of...wait for it...32%....lmao

It doesn't take a puncher to knockdown Khan, you have guys with 4% KO ratio doing it. In fact he didn't even beat the count against Limmond so he should have 4 losses not 3.

And you absolutely cannot say he looks better under Hunter than he did under Roach because his level of competition since he teamed with Virgil has been downright embarrassing, nothing but handpicked featherfisted oppostion.

Khan's career has been smoke and mirrors designed to fool the casual boxing fan, the guys a fraud, a pretender, a barely above British level fighter who fluked a good win and never rematched any of his losses. I've yet to see a solid case for making him ranked in the top TEN of welteweights yet you have got people who genuinely believe he can beat Canelo. It's completely ludicrous and laughable and anyone with eyes can see that he can't.

Well done; you've just genuinely left me speechless for the first time in my life.

The bit in bold is fantasy that JR Tolkein would have been proud of, well done.

Let's just see what happens this weekend.

    :rofl:patsch:smoke:nut

Mayweather, Pac, Bradley, Thurman, Brook, Garcia, Porter, Peterson, Spence are definitely better than Khan, probably Guerrero, Berto, Broner and Vargas as well.

Beating an old and shot Collazo, and featherfisted Algieri doesn't make you a top 10 weltweight. Khan had the chance to fight a top guy at the weight and he ran and moved out of the division. Just like he ran from lightweight when he lost to Prescott and just like he ran from 140 when he lost to Garcia.

So yeah go ahead if you want, give me a reason why he should be top 10 because i've yet to see anything valid.

I don't see how anyone can support this clown, he has no chin no heart and stuck his finger up and his own fans by denying them the fight they most wanted to see. What a guy.

The not avenging any of his losses really is a bad sticking point for me. Most fighters move up when they have been #1 in the division rather than bailing when they lose or refuse to fight the best of the said division.

To not face any of the fighters he lost against to me is ridicoulas.
