Greb runs right into Louis and gets taken out early. Louis was too big and skilled a heavyweight to have problems with a swarmer like Greb.
I agree, everyone was UNANIMOUS that the first round KO left hook was one of the best left hooks ever seen but I wasn't in agreement I think he was on way to canvas after that piledriving left jab that came before.
Greb was a GOD! After a 1000 fights he didn't have a mark on him and he never really lost a fight, that was just corrupt judging. He never complained when unjust decisions went against him , just smiled his way through adversity. Everybody loved him for his boyish charm and modest demeanour and his opponents all agreed it was a privilege to share a ring with this pugilistic Siegfried. He was called to Olympus by his father Zeus much to early for Antipodean Wallabies to fully appreciate his unique talents. He did send a message from Valhalla saying that Les Darcy was an ar*ehole ,a mediocre talent, and that he ran away from serving his country, but everyone outside of Sheepland already knew that.:deal

I know you're on the wind up with Greg but that's a tad low, matter of fact I had to double check who posted it because it looked like one of Klomptons. Darcy wasn't a mediocre talent at all, far from it even if it was a largely unfulfilled career. His resume in his brief career is solid and his run over the last 18 months of his career was very good indeed (unless you take Klomptons view that every fight was fixed and every single victory tainted which is largely conjecture and excuse making by losing fighters and don't tally with the first hand ring side accounts of their ar se beatings particularly with the McGoorty fights). Greg takes the jingoism too far even for an Aussie like me but pot shotting someone for not serving their country is a bit unfair. Ali did similar and no one holds it against him anymore and I'd argue that Vietnam had almost as little relevance to America in 1967 as Europe did to Australia is 1914.
