See its bull**** like that that makes people hate liberals. We come across as a bunch of sniveling pompous loudmouth smarmy elitist know it alls, who think anybody who supports a guy like Trump is some knuckle dragging mentally handicapped Neanderthal. Yet how does that explain the scores of Democrats that are switching over and voting for Trump as well as the many independents? It might have something to do with his populist anti-NAFTA, CAFTA outsourcing message, or his conciliatory stance towards Russia and reticence to engage in any poorly thought out support of so called "liberal Democracy loving" protestors in the Middle East that want to see moderate leaders who are quasi friendly with the US be overthrown, only to see right wing theocrats rise up in the power vacuum that immediately follows.

Trump is more a moderate than McCain and Romney put together, and yet the left somehow think he's the second coming of Hitler, maybe its the left and our difficulty processing reality as of late that are becoming the mentally handicapped.

(I don't think Trump is a liberal by any means, but why do you really think the Republicans hate him so much?)

Trump and Sanders in many ways are not all that dissimilar.

    Guilty as charged!

Nothing would surprise me. But the longer Floyd waits, the less likely I think it would be. May 2017 Floyd vs Pac at 154.1 for the middleweight title? Winner mandated to face Gennady?

I thought Cotto looked faster on the whole, but Canelo is deceptively quick. I'd be surprised if Khan makes it 5, honestly.

As for Floyd, the problem is (I think) that the two biggest money options are guys he beat decisively in matches that weren't particularly competitive (Canelo & Pac).

I think the best case for Floyd would have been if, say, one of the younger talented welters (take your pick) battered Pacquiao similarly to the way Pac battered Barrera 13 years ago. But such a situation seems unlikely to happen any time soon.

Could be, especially a win over Canelo for Pac and 9th weight division championship might raise the interest for the rematch.

I definitely think the scenario you proposed is well within the realm of reason and would definitely make the proposition of a Floyd-Pac rematch more attractive.

Floyd took Canelo's few flush shots much better than he took Maidana's and Khan survived Maidana....barely. :think

Khan was probably closer to his best form back then, whereas I'm not sure Maidana had quite reached his.

Personally, I think the more apt comparison is one between the power/counter punching abilities of Garcia and Canelo.

Khan really hasn't faced a dangerous puncher since the Garcia loss. Canelo isn't exactly a monster puncher, but I would reckon he's got more pop than any previous Khan opponents.

Maidana also managed to stop Josesito at his natural weight one round after Canelo did, even though Josesito was a blown up JWW and Canelo at LMW, Maidana took him out in 6 and Canelo took him out in 5. Could this be even more evidence that Maidana and Canelo have a similar level of power.:think

I'm being the Devil's advocate here, but KOing Kirkland doesn't mean a whole lot to me, Ishida's KD's of Kirkland were legit, and he has almost zero power, I'm pretty sure anyone with decent defense to avoid Kirkland for a few rounds and a good counter could KO James, and other than Kirkland, who has Canelo actually stopped that wasn't shot to hell that was worth a damn.

I'm still saying he'll win by KO, but... An argument could be made to the contrary.
