Never bought into the Walters hype. He's massive for 126 but crude and his skill level isn't in the same stratosphere as Lomochenko. Lomo would do a number on him, wide UD OR mercy stoppage

What was the split? I think he should have fought Loma if he loses big deal people expected him to he can still get good fights at 130. If he wins he becomes the man at 130 and elite.
when u look at the situation...for that fight with loma...500k is peanuts ...after taxes and fees...hes looking at 100k maybe that being said....if that's all he can get for that kind of fight...I don't see him getting more anywhere else then...... but if we give the bumdog a pass we might as well give walters one
I rate Walters but I agree when it comes to the Loma fight, he'd be too much skill wise. Walters would either have to make it ugly (which isn't really his style) and try to do what Salido did or there's a puncher's chance but since Lomachenko hasn't displayed chin issues like, ever, I don't see it happening.

I didn't see what Loma was supposed to be getting but I agree. Similar to the Rigo situation as well when Frampton moved up instead of fighting Rigo as his mandatory. Losing to Loma or Rigo does absolutely no harm to your rep at all, there's so much to potentially gain too
