If Canelo drops WBC then asks GGG for 155, what excuses will you fans come up with?

Well let's be fair to Golovkin here, if he were to pull a Canelo he would have said "161 or nada" and then accused Ward of ducking when he said no.

Instead he offered to split the cash and the weight 50-50 ... how heinous! That's without mentioning that he was lined up to fight Lemieux at the time FOR AN ACTUAL TITLE :blood

No catchweights, they have to stop.

Canelo isn't big enough and to be honest no fighter should be to dictate weights and invent ones for their own benefit.

If Canelo doesn't want to be a middleweight then he can go back to 154, if he wants to fight at middleweight then he should stfu and fight up to the the 160 limit.

    That's because it's a very stupid question.

If Canelo and GGG were under circumstances where weight was negotiable, like Canelo having no belts, then I could see them agreeing on a 157 CW IF GGG couldn't get BJS in the ring ("my focus is all the belts in middleweight division").

GGG knows Canelo isn't asking for a CW due to size disparity, but because Canelo is trying to drain him and gain an advantage. GGG sees that as disrespectful and dishonorable to boxing, so maybe he'll refuse just due to principle... which would be a nice to see.

It's not a stupid question but it is stupid of canelo. It is exactly what is currently happening just eliminating the belt from the equation. Is it the belt, or the weight, why Golovkin refuses 155 (as he should, regardless)?

Huge difference here Ward was moving up as he told the fans he was struggling to make 168, 164 was obviously out of the question by that stage.

Team GGG claim to be small at 160 and that he could easily make 154 for a Floyd fight. Team GGG claim to be smaller than Canelo. Ward was saying he was moving up too big for 168, GGG was small @ 160.

Golovkin has said why. The main principle, regardless of Canelo having a belt, is that you do not enforce catch weights on fighters who are in the same division as you. Middleweight champion? Fight at middleweight. Go down and fight at 154, then maybe they can talk CW since Canelo is showing he's a Jr. middleweight... but the fact is, he hasn't made that weight in three years. So, he's been fighting at middleweight. So don't ask for catch weights against middleweights when you're a middleweight in the middleweight division.

    That's the answer.

@155 Canelo @160 Jr beats the brakes off him

Jr is probably as big as Degale, he's a big 160lbser, I don't think he would have size issues @ 168

155 he's a dead man walking like GGG would be
