Like I've told you, I'm a far bigger fan of Andre's than I am of GG's. And I always fight his corner when people say he ducked Bute. But what about Stevenson? It appears that he didn't want to fight him.

Canelo is now saying that GGG has to earn his shot. He did earn his shot. It's called the Mandatory defense. Canelo is clearly making excuses to not fight him. Your post is ludicrous.

This really does suck because I really like Canelo. I was hoping he was fighting for legacy and greatness. Now a days not too many fighters take on the most dangerous man in their division to see who the best is. Even Oscar went after legacy, I was hoping Canelo would follow suit.

Not sure GGG can safely make 155 - he came into the ring at 172lbs vs wade which is his normal fighting/training weight. Asking a 35yr old to dry out 17lbs could be a stretch to far.

No interest in seeing Canelo fight a zombie. It'll be a boring and pointless victory just like Mayweather v. Canelo where no credit is given for beating a weight drained zombie who is a shell of his real self.

Let Canelo drop the title and whomever he likes. GGG will collect the lineal belt and reign supreme.

but you are assuming that lara and froch are the same guy...that all is equal...they are different fighters.....

why would he fight lara? because lara is better than wade, monroe etc....or anyone else on gggs resume

 

youd think hes gonna learn....but apparently hes a little slow...because he hasnt learned yet...you would have though he learned when cotto held that thing....but here he is again.....waiting and hoping for something to fall into his lap....

 

Once again, I'm a big fan of Andre's.

In my opinion, he's the P4P number 1 fighter in the world.

He's one of my favourite fighters. But I don't care what he's said. He's got a huge ego and of course he's going to say he's ready. But I'm a realist. He fought Paul Smith after 17 months out, and he's just fought Sullivan Barrera after 9 months out. He isn't ready for big fights now, just like he wasn't last year. So there is no myth. He's been inactive.

I'm really hoping that the Kovalev fight gets pushed back to next year, so he can fight another few times before taking him on.

 

ward has never given us a reason to not believe him....hes known, even by some of his staunchest critics, to be an honest straight shooter

so when ward said last summer he was ready..and that hed fight ggg in 2015 or 2016...then i take his word at face value

would have been an easy fix....ggg could have kept his lemieux ppv date and they could have fought in march or april of this year

Oscar deserves an awful lot of credit for his exploits as a fighter. But Oscar is no longer looking through a fighters eyes. He's looking through a businessman's eyes.

He'll want to delay the GG fight for as long as possible.
