If Canelo drops WBC then asks GGG for 155, what excuses will you fans come up with?

We're on the same page regarding the hype.

In the last month, I've been told that a prime version of Roy Jones wouldn't have lasted 4 rounds with GG, and that he'd have beaten guys like Toney with ease.

Comments like that make me go CRAZY!

Seriously, it drives me mad. But I can separate my hate from the idiots, to GG as a fighter.

I didn't know that you'd admitted that before. But now it makes perfect sense.

You hate his deluded fans like I do. But you hate them that much, it's made you hate GG himself. But that's neither fair nor objective.

If you checked my post history, you'd see that many of my posts are defending him, while many of the others are ridiculing the deluded section of his fan base.

Don't let the idiots cloud your judgement. Because what you're doing here, is being as annoying and as biased as what they are.

but i also have a real beef with the way his career is handled....they arent doing him any favors(his management)....

 

Lara is better than Wade, but Wade was a mandatory. Again, I want him to fight Canelo, Jacobs and Saunders, and Lara if he moves up. But nobody should criticise him for not going out of his way to fight Lara.

 

hes fighting bum mandatories at age 34 claiming he wants to unify.....at the same time hes stepping aside so the wbc belt can get passed around by welterweights.....thats my issue

lara is a better boxer than anyone on gggs resume...his resume needs some major improvement before its almost too late......he needs to start somewhere....dom wade and willie monroe aint gonna cut it...they will do nothing for his resume

at least lara has been in with canelo and paul williams and some other decent fighters......lara could provide an immediate boost to gggs resume and lara has had tv exposure

 

A fight could have been possible, if Andre had been ready and they'd have sat down and discussed the specifics and agreed everything. But they didn't. And when I watched Andre fighting Paul Smith at LHW, it told me that he wasn't prepared to fight GG at a potential CW or even at SMW anytime soon.

You've got to move on from it now, and hope that they can fight in the future at some point when it would be in both of their best interests.

and that fight will never happen now.....ggg wanted no part of if then...what you think hell think if ward beats kovalev? the only way it could ever happen is if ward gets beat the heck up by kova and looks bad.....

After reading through your posts it seems as though you hate GG.

 

Again, those step asides were in his best interests at the time. But I don't think he'd do it again, not unless he got a huge cheque and he was able to fight Jacobs or Saunders to try and obtain the other belts. And if that was to happen, I'd have no issue with that. Because while ever Canelo holds that belt, he's a mandatory. I want GG to fight Canelo, Jacobs and Saunders and I don't care in what order. I want him to obtain all of the belts and then I want to see him move up.

I like Lara myself. I'd like to see it. But again, I'm not going to criticise him for not pursuing it.

I'd say the same thing I'm saying now. Golovkin is Alvarez's mandatory challenger for the WBC/Lineal MW Title. The MW limit is 160. Golovkin will be handed that title if Alvarez does not fight Golovkin. Golovkin does not have to compromise, he actually has the leverage despite the fact that Alvarez has more drawing power... unless Alvarez doesn't care about being the MW Champ.

If Alvarez wants to hand his title over to Golovkin without fighting him... and then wants to make a fight at 155??? Well, if I was Golovkin I wouldn't do it. This has gone on too long and Alvarez has not been very reasonable. Alvarez is a true MW, this 155 bullshlt is stupid.

As for Ward? Ward was an amateur LHW... 178 Lbs. He decided to campaign as a pro SMW/168 Lber and won World Title belts at SMW. He has fought over 168 Lbs. 3 times... he is the #1 contender at LHW/175 Lbs. right now. Golovkin is a MW/160 Lber.

164 would have been good when Ward was a SMW. Ward was not the mandatory at MW so it's a much different situation than Golovkin vs. Alvarez. Maybe they can fight at SMW one day?

 

I don't think GG really wanted Andre either. I don't think the timing was right.

Regarding a future fight, we'll have to wait and see how both of their careers play out. Again, I'm hoping that GG will be up at SMW within the next 12-18 months. But it's hard when certain guys won't fight him and he has mandatory obligations. But if he was at SMW within the next 18 months, Andre may fight him depending on how he's faired at LHW.

I think it's still a possibility at this stage.
