.....will the ref dive in prematurely and stop it?

I say this because after what happened to Blackwell, plus Crollas previous serious head injury when he heroically tackled that criminal scumbag .....Ant might be seen as a 'high risk of injury guy' now in light of these events.

Crolla might suffer from a very 'British' stoppage. Its a real concern IMO.....

Think with it being in Manchester and Crolla/Barroso being the only significant fight on the bill, the referee will want to be absolutely sure. It's a possibility though for sure. Referees (like in football) have such a difficult job to do. If they err on the side of caution they are often lambasted for stopping the fight a few seconds prematurely and if they let it continue they are often lambasted for allowing a fighter to take more punishment when he's 'gone'. It's a tough one, I know I wouldn't like to be a referee for sure.

No one wants the fight stopping prematurly but if crolla was passed as fully fit after the hospital/head incident that he suffered then this shouldnt really be a concern for the ref he should be officiating for two fit healthy young men. Btw i watched gomez v aurthur again last night and you certainly would hope the ref would jump in far quicker than he did there and just suppose the fight went that way and crolla took the same pasty AAA did then im sure a lot would be saying " the ref shouldnt of let crolla take all that punishment considering he was in hospital with a head injury".
Can we rely on joe g to throw in the towel if his boy is taking so much? Lets hope hes learned since john murray went stateside.

People dont give crolla enough credit for his defence and movement, he'll have to be 100% on it but its winnable.
Someone like burns would give barroso all sorts of problems

To answer the question, there is not a chance of Crolla getting stopped early, he will be given every chance and more.

It would play put like this...

If Crolla does get hurt and dropped the referee will count slowly, wipe Crolla's gloves very slowly, have a very long look in to Crolla's eyes (giving him more seconds) at this point Barroso will get agitated knowing the referee is taking liberties and move forward out of the neutral corner then the referee will turn and push Barroso in to the neutral corner and lecture him for a good 5 seconds or so then he will call them forward and again push Barroso backwards looking at him like he will stop the action again if he keeps barging forward.

By this time Crolla has had 30 seconds plus to recover and is given so much space to run because the referee will position himself in such a way Barroso has to go the long way to get to Crolla.

    It's the British way

Not the Kovalev - Cleverly rubbish again. Kovalev hit Cleverly behind the head ON THE FLOOR, then hits him after the bell, O'Connor doesn't even dish out a warning!

I can see this happing if front of me while reading it. It's so typical, and I know everytime I see s__t like that happening I'll be screaming at my television set while knowing nothing ever changes, and these refs only get more and higher rated fights for doing that blatant cr_p.
