If its over £100 a ticket for the worst seats, then they are going to have drop the prices closer to fight time. Just wait and wait, and then buy closer to the event
Usually Mick is quite reasonable with ticket prices- they look more on the level of Frank's usual prices. I think they thought that this fight would instantly sell out with high prices- alas they are wrong. Still think there is time for a switch to a smaller venue, bizarre as that sounds.
I think frank has set ticket prices to recoup the tv rights money, Hennessey just enjoying the ride and making a few quid, good on him
I have category one ringside seat, complimentary. I've only just checked out the price! The same seats for the first fight were only 450 and worth every penny with unlimited food, beer and prosecco. I guess easier to price with 55,000 rather than 20,000 seats. Anyway am sure this will sell out by fight night no problems
If queensbury/boxnation arnt promoting the fight, then they have nothing to do with tickets or the revenue from them.
Not very surprising. So we have expensive tickets, for a rematch from which the first one was a stinker, for a guy that isn't popular in his own country, is kinda expected to lose this time out, and has a countryman that can sell PPV's against walking punchbags. All spells disaster.
Yeah, AJ represents relatively easy money for Fury. If he has the motivation Fury can almost certainly beat AJ if they fight this year, but the problem is getting past Wlad ! Wlad might have enough left to win, so who knows. If Fury loses to Wlad he can still fight AJ but the fight won't be quite as huge. Also, for AJ and Hearn, a unification with Fury will probably be the smartest move, otherwise they will sooner or later have to face a mandatory, and that is quite likely to be Joseph Parker, a risky fight and not as huge as the Fury one. So ... it's a fight that should happen this year. But who knows.
